SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER

One more day. Aubrey only had to survive one more day of school. She woke up and was excited for the day to be over and done with. She and Beverly had made plans, but she was pretty sure they would fall through. She ran a brush through her golden locks and looked at herself in the mirror.

After what happened on the bridge, Aubrey was a little cautious. Since a lot of kids had been going missing, she had to be home by seven on the dot. She walked down the stairs and decided to skip breakfast today, she wasn't all that hungry anyway. Cara had already left with her friends so Aubrey decided to ride her bike to school today.

She arrived at the school and placed her bike into the bike rack placing a chain on it so that no one would steal it. She fixed her backpack strap on her left shoulder and entered the building for the last time until summer was over. The classes took forever, it felt like they were longer than usual. Aubrey stared at the clock for the last thirty seconds of class and it felt like an eternity before the bell finally rang.

Aubrey grabbed her backpack and exited the class. Beverly was supposed to come over to her house after school and told the blonde not to wait up for her. She was hesitant at first but finally nodded her head in agreement. Aubrey walked out of the double doors of the school and walked over to her bike. She looked over toward the trashcans about to go over there to empty out her stuff when she noticed the Bowers' gang messing with Bill, Stanley, Eddie, and Richie.

She huffed in annoyance before walking over there, hearing the last sentence of the conversation.

"You got a free ride this year because of your little brother. Rides over." Henry speaks and Aubrey looks over to see Henry's father and smirks.

"I think your father would disagree with that." Aubrey says, her British accent thick. Henry and all of the other boys looked at the blonde before Henry looked over to see his father looking at him and backed off of Bill.

"This summer will be a hurt train. For you and your faggot friends." Henry says before licking his hand and wiping it on Bills face. He and his crew walked away and Aubrey walked over to a trashcan and unzipped her book bag before emptying out her stuff. The losers all looked at the blonde who gave them an amused smirk.

"Th-th-thanks." Bill stuttered and Aubrey nodded.

"Anytime." Aubrey said and was about to leave when Bill caught her attention. She turned to face the stuttering boy as he invited her to join the group at the barrens.

"I'll think about joining you guys. I have to go check on my sister first though, maybe I'll see you around." Aubrey kindly answered and the group of boys nodded. She gave them one last smile before walking back over to her bike and taking the chain off of it. She quickly rode home and used her spare key to open the door.

"Mom? Cara?" Aubrey called as she closed the door behind her and placed her empty book bag beside the door.

"In here!" Cara called from the kitchen. Aubrey walked in to the kitchen and was greeted with her blonde headed sister. Aubrey offered her a smile and started to fix herself something to eat.

"How was school?" Aubrey asked as she sat down across from her sister who was reading a book. Cara looked up at her sister and nodded her head.

"The same as usual. How about you?"

"It was long, but at least it's finally over." Aubrey said with relief laced in her voice. "I was planning on hanging out with a few friends today. Are you going to be okay here?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine. I'll see you later." Cara said and Aubrey finished her food before nodding her head.

"See you later. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Aubrey called as she opened the door. Cara laughed and Aubrey smiled before walking outside to close the door behind her. Beverly wasn't coming over till later that day anyways, so she decided to go find the boys and chill with them at The Barrens.

Authors note: I GET TO GO SEE IT CHAPTER TWO TONIGHT AND I'M SO EXCITED OMFFFFF! Anyways, I know this is short and I'm vv sorry but this is the best I could do seeing as I  have a hurt wrist and I'm not supposed to be typing at all. But because I love you all so very much I'm suffering just to write for you :)

Anyways imma go finish watching the new version of Pet Semetary (WHICH IS COMPLETELY WRONG) and get angry sooooo give me some feedback please and thanks.
