"Scar... Why here first, again?" Asked Cub who wanted to be reminded.
Scar sighed, "because, Cub, our Fusion friend, Xiskall was taken by Evil X."
"Ohhh..." Cub and The Grumbo Fusion replied in unison, both of them knew that a few readers probably thought that too. (Maybe).
Once the threeish four make it to the warzone, they could tell in an instant that something was off.
Being the first to notice this feeling, Grumbo decided to be the first to also point it out; "guys... I think Evil X might have been here..." He said concerned.
"What makes you think so?" Scar questioned with sarcasm as he rolled his eyes back on track to where he wanted to land.
Grumbo frowned, but having the Vexes in the front gave him the advantage to not show his feelings to them.
"Relax, Scar. I'm not sure why you have been so cranky during the flight here but don't worry; we'll save Xiskall in no time!" Cub tilted his elytra to hunch a little closer to his cowboy friend who smiled.
"Thanks, Cub, but that's not why I'm so 'cranky' right now..." Replied Scar, holding two fingers up to emphasis the word cranky.
Curious, Cub nudged Scar on the shoulder for banter. "Then what?"
Scar spent a moment to figure out how to phrase this, "well... It's just that-... I- I'm not so sur-"
Confused, the others watched as Scar let out another sigh.
"It's just... This book hasn't been updated in so long.." Scar said in a depressing voice. "And-... After so many personal problems... She's gonna do something terrible..."
The Fusion narrowed his eyes. "Who's 'she'?" He asked.
Without responding to the question, the cowboy quietly shook his head and stared on forwards. It was an irrelevant thought anyways.
It didn't take long until the group finally decided to land on top of the STAR Team candy shop.
Cub jumped down the roof, he took two steps towards the door but was distracted by something he stepped on.
The mad MineCrafter reached for his toes to grab it, he could feel a shiver trickle from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet when he realized what he was now holding.
It was an arrow.
"Cub, you okay?" Asked his cowboy who placed a hand on his shoulder for unnecessary support.
Cub stared speechless at him in shock while showing the arrow between him and Scar, on the bright side, the arrow wasn't covered in thick red liquid.
"Why is this here?" Scar asked, worried and confused.
Cub shook his head as Grumbo made his way through the door and met up with the Vexes.
The Fusion suddenly froze, something was moving. Cub noticed his reaction and readied his sword.
"Who's there!?" Yelled Scar.
"Gah!" Whispered a voice.
"Shhh! It's only Cub." Said another voice, which sounded a lot like a certain knight.
"Wels? Is that you?" Cub called, hunching forward to the corner where the quiet voices were.
"Yeah, it's me, Impulse and False." Replied Wels jumping out of a random hole under the floor in the corner.
Confused, Scar decided to ask. "Why are you guys hiding there?"
"We were attacked..." Replied Impulse, who jumped out of the whole too. He bent down on knee level and prepared his arms to pull another Hermit up who happened to be False, but with a bloodied right shoulder.
"You were attacked? By who?" Asked Grumbo.
False shrugged. "Not sure... One minute, we were hanging with an Xiskall Fusion... The next, somebody attacks us, Ren and Doc disappears and two other random people show up and helps the attacker kidnap Xiskall!"
Everyone but the STAR Team gasped at the new information that they should've already learnt like last chapter.
"Do you remember where they took Xiskall?" Cub questioned desperately.
They all shook their heads. "Wherever they took Xiskall, they took Ren and Doc too... If you're gonna rescue them." Wels let in a deep breath. "Were coming too!"
Scar nodded. "Then let's check the labyrinth for clues."
"Alright." Answered Grumbo as the rest nodded or saluted but the Author personally prefers the salute but she added the 'nodded' because this story feels rushed a tad and that's probably 'cause she's lazy to proof-read it.
And im ending it THERE XD
