Daydreamer

Cloudless days,
dreamt on cement.

Hear the hammer fall, daydreamer.
Her lascivious looks, reflecting on the duvet covers,
The warm sheets feeling acrid now, that she's not here.
Imminent dysphoria as you wistfully look over the tents –
Will she be with you tonight, daydreamer?

Dabble in your dreams,
Hope for your deliverance,
Listen to the onomatopoetic songs of wind and leaves –
She might still be at your side tonight.
