I watched the three of them leave the wedding. Ingrid stood there with shock and as did I. Stoick grabbed my arm gently and pulled me out of the academy.
"Where are they going?" He asked me. As if I knew!
"I have no idea. To find Monica, perhaps. We should let them search for her." I said.
"Val, Monica's father isn't the one you want to mess with." Stoick told me.
"What?"
"Her father... he's the one who tried to kill me at the Chieftan Gathering." He sighed.
Then I lost it. I'm not having my son and daughter go after a mad man! I whistled for Cloudjumper and climbed on.
"You... coming?" I asked.
"Oh, I was going to take Skullcrusher."
"Oh c'mon. Cloudjumper won't bite." I said, offering my hand.
Stoick stood still.
"Stoick, I'm still alive, you're still alive, and Hiccup's still alive. He wasn't trying to kill Hiccup in his cradle! Now get your stoick self up here and let's go!" I demanded.
Stoick grabbed my hand and I pulled him on Cloudjumper.
"Why are you standing up? You could fall." Stoick said.
"Trust me, I've had 20 years of practice." I said.
Cloudjumper flew away from the academy and we followed Hiccup and Astrid to an island full of dragons. There weren't any houses. There weren't any buildings. No trees. Just dragons.
Then we saw the Riders land. Cloudjumper landed in a tree above them and I climbed down slowly.
"What are you guys doing here?!" I quitely yelled.
"Mom?!" Both Hiccup and Astrid whispered.
"Why are you here?" I asked again.
"To find Monica. And I'm not leaving until I do." Carl said. He jumped off of Toothless and began to walk away.
"Carl!" Astrid screamed.
He turned to her and she pointed to the dragon behind him. He turned around again, and stood still. The dragon wore a shiny helmet with spikes on the top. The wings had holes in them and the body was full of armor as well.
The dragon growled. Toothless growled. Cloudjumper growled. And Stormfly growled.
But the growling didn't sound like a threat, nor did the dragons take it as a threat. Heck, Toothless walked over to the dragon after Hiccup got off and smiled.
Cloudjumper and I landed on the ground and Toothless began to play with the dragon.
But the dragon didn't approve. He showed his teeth and growled, then flicked his tail in anger.
Wait a minute. Is that...
No way.
It can't be!
