-=+Lilly's POV+=-
I was woke by a sudden push on my shoulder. I wasn't in the hospital, I was on the plush cushions of my child hood bed, the beige blanket with the little baby critters seeming to crawling atop, and the white walls with baby blue lining.
I was still 16, the same boots I wore on New Years, soft leggings and grey sweat shirt that I stole from my mom.
I was speaking blind-lessly to the person who tried to awaken me -because I was to tired to open my eyes- but I got no reply.
I opened my eyes, my mom, she looked stronger now, she was in all black, the tight black shirt looked firm around her forearm, her legs looked muscular, like since the last time I had seen her she couldn't lift a feather.
I moaned a bit and sat up, my mom hushed me and put a finger to her soft plush lips that were slightly parted, but closed once she put a finger to them.
"Come with me," she spoke in a hushed tone, my feet dangled over the bed, it seemed like a 100 foot drop, but my bed was level with the floor.
"Where?" I asked, but she dodged the question as if she never heard.
"I need to show you something," she smiled blankly, and I got up and followed her, it felt like my house was changed, but it never really did. It felt like I've never even been in this place, but I knew exactly where to go, exactly what to do. I wasn't even controlling myself.
We walked out of the door, the moon directly above us, there was no cars on the road, only houses, not even drive ways.
We headed down the empty street to a silver car much similar to Drew's, but also different.
She got me in the car in seconds, everything went by so fast, it felt like real life but it wasn't. What was it?
She started the car and the lights amid thin air fluttered on, although there was enough life, from nothing.
Smoothly, the car drove down the tar of the street, although there were bitter cracks in between, like the world just started to decay. It felt like the world was left and run down, and we were the ones to run it.
She took in a long draw of breath and tapped the dial of the car, blasting the music, which she then proceeded to turn down with the same knob.
Then we crossed over the bridge me and Drew have used many times, and the world cut off into something more, dull buildings and piles of trash and cracked roads of sorts piled up the city into what it was made.
We trailed down the side of the street until she pocketed into an alley. She took in a noticeable breath once the music stopped with the car, and turned to me "follow me," she said, opening her door but I stopped her, "Why am I here?"
She turned to me, "Oh sweetie," she spoke, her eyes glimmered a bit, and her hands were warm, but it was a dream. They felt real.
"I wanted to see you, I don't know if I can do this again," she spoke, trying to smile, trying to hide herself of crying.
"Do what?" I was lost, but seeing her tear up, it made me.
"This. Now follow me," she said quietly, smiling now, her tears were gone.
She stepped out of the car, and I followed suite, the orange day slipping past quickly, and as my mom ran further in the alley quickly, I took a quick glance at the horizon before following her to the other end and everything was black, only stars and the moon lit up the sky, and the blinking lights of what my mom was dragging me to.
She brought me over to a huge opening behind the buildings. It developed into a huge field, containing- of any sorts- a carnival. A certain carnival, I think anyone could guess, the carnival I went to with Drew.
I turned to her, "does this mean anything to you? Like this carnival?"
"I know what it means to you," she smiled, her mouth carved into her cheeks.
"No way," I basked in glory.
"I wouldn't believe it either," she whispered.
There in the distance, burning a hole in the ombre sky, was a giant black hole.
I turned to her, "What's that?"
"It's the time we have left..."
