"Lilly'll be over in a bit," I told my mom, walking down the steps with the table cloth she had requested for.

She smiled and thanked me with a simple head nod, "Madeline!!" my mom yelled up the steps, obviously not needing me, so I ran up the steps in search for her, since I was ready.

"I got it mom," I yelled down to her and knocked on Madeline's door.

"What?" she asked, obviously annoyed.

I swung open the door, she was on younow.

"Mom needs you," I told her, not wanting to join her broad cast.

She looked at the camera, "wait y'all," she said holding up a finger and standing up, brushing past me and running down the steps, you could hear her say a faint "what?"

I closed her door and walked to my room, I had spare time, I laid on my bed and caught my phone in my hand.

I searched through my twitter feed and notifications, and my door was bursted open, showing Lily and Madeline, both of them jumping on my bed, Madeline's arm smacking my thigh.

Lily was wearing a black band shirt and jean washed jeans. Her hair was neatly pulled back in a pony tail with a black bow resting atop.

Although her purpose of outfit was to be punk rock, she looked adorable.

I smiled at her, and she smiled back, and Madeline smiled and motioned in between us, "y'all are so cute, now we need to go down stairs and help mom."

"I need to call Hunter," I told her and dialing his number into my phone.

I rushed outside the house to see the fire works, embracing the cold air, and wrapped my arms around Lilly's waist, catching her by surprise.

I loved the way my arms fit perfectly around her waist, the way her sides indented into her stomach perfectly, it was like I was almost meant to cuddle her, to be close to her.

She melted into my touch, resting her head on my shoulder as the first firework blew, sparking a golden fire work with red ends.

My front lawn flooded with people, drunk or sober, everyone awaiting for the firework show, lit by my dad.

It felt hours had passed, we swayed along slightly, her head resting on my shoulder and my head on hers. She was cold, her small frame wrapped in my sweat shirt -surprisingly no one had noticed- and sweat pants, a comfortable outfit some people wouldn't choose, considering the sluttier outfits at this party.

Soon before the fireworks could end, we went inside; Lilly claiming she was cold, and we went inside, going up the stairs to Madeline's room where my friends had claimed to be, although I don't know why they skipped fireworks, or why they went to Madeline's room.

We made it to Madeline's room, I opened the door for Lilly, motioning her inside, allowing myself in after, shutting the door quietly behind me.

They were surrounded in a small semi circle in the floor in front of her dresser. All talking about the fact the Molleejo had cracked her phone in church again.

We walked in the door, drawing their attention and the awkward silence of stare. That awkward feeling, and it's from you. We both sat in our spots, "what did we miss?"

They all told me about Madeline knocking over a drunk man, interrupting each other as they went along. Trying to tell their sides of story time.

I kept my head down most of the conversation, hardly looking at Madeline or Lilly, I knew what would happen like last year. They invited us to go drink beer and stupid shit, and honestly I didn't want to drag Lilly into that, usually it was after midnight, so we left because me and Lilly were "tired."
