{i am aware that it's the middle of summer}

I woke up at 9 in the morning, the smell of eggs and coffee swarming my room instead of the usual smell of perfume.

I sat up and did my hair up in a lose braid, little fragments of hair had fallen out, framing my face. I still had the clothes on that I wore last night, but that was ok, only my family would see.

I walked down the steps to be greeted by my mother in the kitchen.

"Merry Christmas Eve," she said smiling, looking back down at what she was originally worked on.

I smiled, "Merry Christmas Eve."

Was it already Christmas?

I had completely forgotten that it was the Christmas/ New year break.

I quickly are break fast, consisting of eggs and, you guessed it, coffee.

I ran upstairs and grabbed my phone, texting the first person to come to mind.

Drew.

Then, Madeline.

I didn't expect an answer, it was 9 in the morning, so instead I grabbed some clothes, a black band shirt and black yoga pants that stopped just below the knee.

I adjusted the water to the shower and got in, I let the warm water dribble down my skin, heating it and wetting my hair.

I rinsed through my hair with shampoo and conditioner, and soaped my skin, cleaning it.

I rinsed my skin once more before stepping out of the shower, towel drying my skin, and put on my clothes, tying my hair in a wet braid.

I walked into my room, and put my dirty clothes in the laundry bin and sat on the bed, searching my phone for notifications.

2 texts. One from Madeline and one from Drew.

Both said happy Christmas Eve, but Madeline said she needs to give me her gift.

I totally forgot about that!

Now I had to get 2 gifts for them!

I quickly ran downstairs, grabbing my purse, and yelling to my mom, "I need to go to the store! I'll be right back!"

I had my drivers permit, but I could drive well enough, if there was purpose. Stores aren't normally open on Christmas eve.

I pulled into a local drug store, and quickly entered, the air cooler than mid day, burning my ears due to the wet of my hair.

I got into the store looking at all the make-up -for Madeline, of corse- and chose out the most suitable eyes shadow for her.

Then there was Drew, and I had no clue what to get him. Maybe a movie?

I decided on the movie Divergent, seeing he probably hasn't seen it, let alone read the book.

I quickly bought the presents along with wrapping paper and bows, then left for home to quickly get their presents ready.

I pulled the car up quickly, grabbing the bag from the passengers side and rushed in the house, throwing the car keys on the dinning table and rushed upstairs, focus printed on my face.

I wrapped the makeup pallet first, putting a pink shiny bow on it, so I made sure it was Madeline's.

Then I wrapped Drew's, putting a blue bow matte coat over it, so it wasn't shiny.

Trade gifts tomorrow? XD

From: Madeline

Can't wait!

I smiled, and texted Drew the same thing.

After about n hour of texting Drew and Madeline, they both agreed of me to come over, and have a little dinner with their family.

I'd admit I'm nervous, because I am, but I've known Pam for quiet a while, just not so much of their dad, because well, he's never took me and Madeline bra shopping or something like that.

But their a very warming, and welcoming family, I'm sure it'll be like any other dinner I've had with them.

So I quickly threw on some make up, nothing to heavy, and grabbed my phone.

"Mommmm I'm leavingggg!" I shouted up the stairs from the front door.

"Ok sweetie, be safe!" she called, like a typical mother.

I smile, even though she couldn't see me, and exited through the front door, to see Madeline waiting for me on the porch.

"Just couldn't wait to see me," I said teasing her, smiling and poking her side.

"I couldn't you don't hang out with me anymore," she said, pouting her bottom lip.

"I love youuuu," I hugged her, and we went into her house, to be greeted by Pam.

"Dinner will be ready soon. Drew's in his room if you want him," she spoke, walking to the dinner table to place down the plates she had in hand.

"He's getting ready, changing his shirt or what ever, lets go into my room."

We went up stairs, and into her room, and it was decked out for Christmas.

There was a small tree on her dresser, with presents under it.

"Don't look over there, your present is there," she smiled.
