It had been months since I began going to U.A. High and everything was good. Everything but one person. Todoroki Shoto. Now I know the nerd has a massive crush on him but he makes me so uncomfortable to be around. One time he even forced an anxiety attack on me in the middle of class and I had to suppress it. Afterwards I of course went to the counselor to calm down but, he still got to me.

He uses humor to make me enjoy sticking around even if I sometimes want to leave I don't. He's funny and has a rough home life. It's not his fault.

I had myself convinced of this for who knows how long. It's almost the end of second year now. I need to stop talking to him and yet I keep finding myself going back. Why? He keeps talking to me, cracking jokes, making insults. It's not his fault. He has a rough home life. I fear the worst and if I tell him to go away. He will from everyone's lives. Permanently. I can't bear to even think of what might happen, and despite the fact that I have a harsh exterior I do have feelings other than rage.

It's coming to the time where I feel trapped and I'm not sure what side to pick. My own mental health or someone else's. I talked to Eijiro and he said that I'm not in charge of anyone's happiness or mental health but I can't help but feel like I am. I've been told he's toxic and I need to cut ties but I fear the worst. People don't understand situations until put in them themselves and it makes it so much harder than people make it seem. You feel lost, like you'd be the one to blame, if someone did something tragic. You don't know what you'd do if that was your fault and no matter how many times they say it's not, you'll always feel like it is.

I don't know how I can help both sides. Sometimes you can't save everyone. Sometimes you have to let people go. And sometimes that person is yourself.
