Ten days after the Final Selections, Mizuki had reappeared in front of Urokodaki's home. Tanjiro was busy sweeping the ground outside when the girl came to visit.

Hands on her back, Mizuki gave him a cheeky smile when Tanjiro's red hues landed on her figure. The young man didn't expect the sudden visit. But it wasn't unwelcomed. In fact, he was beyond ecstatic upon seeing her in flesh standing right in front of him.

He was so worried about what might had happened to her during the selections and after knowing her real circumstances from Urokodaki, it only increased. So the sight of her in front of him was really like a sudden miracle.

She didn't know what was going through his mind during those times so Mizuki wasn't able to understand when Tanjiro suddenly ran towards her in joy and tightly hugged her now stout figure close to his body.

"Mizuki. It's really you."

He said as he felt her now warm body within his arms. It was a contrast to when he helped her up when she was injured. Her body felt more like it belongs to a living person now.

Having not used to Tanjiro being like this, Mizuki didn't know how to react. She just moved her hands and ran it onto his back, occasionally giving it a light pat which definitely gave him comfort.

Tanjiro had finally realized what he just did so he instantly pulled away, a faint blush of red dusting his cheeks.

"Ah, that. I'm sorry. I got too carried away." He explained, never making eye contact with her.

He thought that she will be teasing him again, but when he secretly glanced at the girl, he noticed that there wasn't a change in her expression at all. She was just staring at him, as if intrigued on what he just did.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling okay?" She asked, genuinely puzzled.

It was not very much like Tanjiro to lose his composure, so she thought that something might have happened that made him sent himself flying into her arms.

"Ah, no. I'm just happy to see you." He answered with a bashful expression. "I was so worried. I thought something might have happened when I didn't saw you back then on the last day of the selections."

"Why?" she tilted her head to the side. "I already left you a message, right?"

"That's not enough!" He retorted, a vein protruding on his forehead. "I need to check your condition myself."

Then, as if he was a doctor, Tanjiro had suddenly pressed the back of his hand onto her neck. Then he touched the skin of her arms, hand and finally settled onto her cheeks.

"I have heard what happened to you from Urokodaki-san. That's why I want to check for myself if you're really okay now." The sincerity and concern in his voice is enough to make her speechless. Finally understanding what his point is, Mizuki chuckled, clasping his hands that were on her face.

"I see. I'm not planning on keeping it a secret. I didn't want to tell you until the selection is over and until I'm fully recovered because I know that you will be worried. But it looks like Urokodaki-san had beaten me to the chase, huh." She said with a smile, meeting the gaze of Tanjiro's red hues head on.
