"What are you doing alone in here?"
At the sound of his voice, the young girl had tilted her head on the side, amethyst colored eyes shifting towards his direction, long dark locks swaying slightly at her head movement.
"Nothing." She shrugged casually, turning away from him and going back to what she was doing prior to his arrival. "I was just looking at the stars."
He settled himself on the bench beside her, sitting an approximately 2 feet away from her. Hands on his pockets, his eyes also gazed at the dark sky, before it unconsciously went back to the girl.
No matter how many times he had already seen her eyes, he still couldn't help but think that it was very pretty. Although she had told him that his eyes are also pretty, he still thought that hers was prettier. Like a very rare gem that is very hard to find. He loved how it shined in the light but especially, he prefer looking at it during the night. It was like her eyes are glowing, and he could see the depth of it if it was enhanced by the darkness.
"It was already dark out. Isn't it about time to go back home?"
He questioned, mimicking her actions once again.
"I will go back in a little bit. I just want to stay here more."
She answered, never tearing her gaze away from the vast, deep and dark night sky. It wasn't cloudy tonight, so the twinkling stars and the moon are in full view, being a source of gentle and faint light in this world of darkness.
"Most children are afraid of the dark night. So why aren't you?"
"I like the night."
"Why?"
"Because without the dark, we'd never see the stars and moon."
She answered as if she was in a daze. Totally held captive by the beauty of the celestial bodies that glittered and shines during the night.

Stars and moon.

-Just like her name itself.
It totally suits her.
"Aren't you afraid of the night? You're a kid too."
Feeling her gaze on him, he turned and locked eyes with her.
"No." He answered. "I like the night too."
His eyes observed her expression that remained impassive even now. No matter what kind of situation he found himself with the girl, her expression never changes. It was like she's a living doll. Unable to express any emotion whenever she faced him. For a child her age, she's supposed to be very expressive, but she was showing no signs of those. Atleast when it comes to him.
