Chapter 16

Hiccup

I groan in pain, as I woken up to see I was in a familiar place. It was Gothi's hut, so basically I guess that I must've pass out. 

Wait! What happened to Drago and the Alpha? Is Berk ok?

As I get up from the bed, Toothless and Astrid was there as Astrid was in total relief that I was awoken up. 

"Oh, Hic!" She said, as she walks towards me and I was pretty overwhelmed with confusion . 

"Astrid? Why you and Toothless are here in Gothi's hut? Were you waiting for me to be awake this whole time?" I asked the young Viking in a serious tone. 

The black Night Fury rolls his eyes at me, "You really have us worried. But I knew that you'll do great as the new alpha ." 

I was in total shock and disbelief as I was trying to grasp of what the Night Fury had told me. I defeated the Alpha, the leader of dragons, with my Dragon Prince abilities. 

"I really did it, didn't I?" I asked as Astrid nodded, "Yeah, it was incredible , I never seen anything like that since you and Toothless defeated the Dragon Queen." 

I sighed, but I looked at Astrid's metal leg. I can't believe that I actually used my plasma blast on her, and she has to live it as a reminder for the rest of her life. 

"Hiccup?" She asks me as she seems to be concerned about my well-being. 

I realize something that I was feeling , that I never thought it was possible. 

I reached towards her and I knew that this is the perfect time to confess to her of how I truly felt towards the young Viking. 

"Astrid.. there is something I wanted to tell you since the beginning. " I said to her as Astrid was confused by my words and Toothless seems to understand what I was going to tell her, so , the black night fury went to give us some privacy . 

Astrid

I was confused of Hiccup's actions. But then I remembered what Cami said to me before I went to Gothi's hut. 

"Hiccup likes you. " 

I thought in my mind, "Oh,  my thor. Is he... confessing to me right now?" 

Hiccup turns serious, "Astrid..  There was a time that you spoke to me, but I didn't listen. It was when I was five, and you tried to help me. 

Do you remember?"

I nodded, "I do. You were looking for a light -blue stone and you were so angry of trying to find it so badly, you eventually gave up . Why you ask?"

He begin to smile a bit as he reaches his back pocket, "I found it, when Mom and I were on our way to save Berk. I wanted to surprise you. " 

The stone was beautiful and shiny as ever as I noticed it was knotted like a necklace. 

"Hic, why was the stone looked like a necklace?" I ask. 

"It is because the stone is meant as a gift . I wanted to give it to you sooner, but with things had happened year ago, I never had the change to. " 

He places the necklace around my neck as I turned around, "Astrid, you were the one who knew about me being the Dragon Prince since the beginning, you stood by me, no matter what or the dangers may come our way. "
