"Miss Astraea. I know that you do not wish to talk to me but I have spoken to Laura and she is more than angry at this rejection. I am also a little less than pleased with your comments to me whilst we spoke this morning. Perhaps we should talk, verbreitet to ohne." My teeth gritted but I gave an obviously fake and forced smile before walking to him and then to his office. The same place we had gotten rather close and unprofessional.

"Mr Link. I have nothing else to say. I am a stubborn girl and you know it. Just, for the love of all that is good and right in this world shout and get it out of your system so that I can go. Ambrose and myself are supposed to be meeting at my house and you are getting between us." His vein began again before one look I hadn't expected crossed his face. He couldn't have been happy. Right?

"You know, I like you angry. It makes me glad that you are not only human but also strong and sure of yourself. Now, tell me why exactly you are angry with me and perhaps we could settle this. If not Laura will have my head." I was sure that he meant something else but pushed that to the back of my mind.

"Liars really bug me. I mean, you told me that you said nothing. All of those times you stopped me from working for my safety and yet there I was trying to get alone with a vampire." His lips quirked up and for a split second I could see his teeth but they were hidden again by his lips.

"And you are telling me that you would have ever believed me? I am a ohne as you have figured and so I have nothing to show. No magic that is obvious and no first state to show like Ambrose does and has shown you." He had me pinned and yet I still felt a little resentment. Not for him but for myself and not noticing the facts earlier.

"Alright fine. Now, I have somewhere else to be." As soon as I had spoken he stood and walked over to me and a wicked grin took to his face. Something was in his mind and he was muling it over and I feared that I was about to get stuck in a trap of his.

"You always surprise me." He pulled me up to him and our bodies touched wherever he could make them and for a second I liked it until I realised that it was lust filling his eyes. Suddenly I felt like he was a wolf and I was little red riding hood. He wanted to eat me up.

"I have to go. He can run faster than I can so he will be waiting for a while. Three miles is a long way to walk." His face was low and getting lower but as I had spoken he stopped and then my hand was pulled on but I refused to move.
"I'm not going to let you pull me around without you telling me what is going on." He pulled on his jacket once again and spoke as he did so.

"I will drive you. I figure, better the both of us tell you than just him." I nodded slowly and walked out to find the car that belonged to Mr Link. He wasn't far behind me and his hand was felt on my back as we walked. It was something that he had done for a long while but I hadn't noticed it until recently. Lucy had noted him doing it months before and that was the only reason why I knew he had done it.

The car ride was quiet and I didn't even speak for a set of directions to be given as he had been once or twice for work. When we got there I got to the door and unlocked it. Allowing daydreaming Ambrose the entrance he required. My boss wasn't so sure of it but I was.

When the door closed I ushered them into my front room and walked out. Trying to find clothes as they waited for me. My outfit was a standard one for the day but I wanted something breezy and also a lot more comfortable. In the end I picked out a romper that sat high on my thighs. Black, yellow and white stripes of various widths were sent down it and the tie around the centre completed the look as I walked down and greeted the men again.

"Now, gentlemen I want to find out about something I haven't encountered yet. You don't have to finish as the books can fill blanks but I want to hear more of it from you." They looked at one another and I saw the cogs turning.
"Stop taking in your brains. Tell me." They both made a move to get comfortable and then the voice of Ambrose was heard.

"What about durchstreifen? They are werewolves. Not quite as the stories have them. They are well with it on full moons but you see throughout the long month they are calm until the full moon. When that happens they are forced to transform and because they are so well hidden they get angry and hurt all who have betrayed them. I mean, it isn't common for them to actually attack and if you encounter one just speak to them and they will roar back. No verbal or other communication but they give it a hack. To be honest the last attack was about five years ago and it was an a scientist who had discovered our world and began testing on us. Disgusting things happened in those rooms. None are alive now and that speaks a lot when all ohne involded were eternal creatures." I smiled as he spoke but as he finished speaking I found a frown on my face.

"Experiments don't really happen anymore. There are laws to stop that and government members are if needed told of us if they don't know already and so we have the whole world on our side." I nodded as Apollo spoke but it concerned me.

"How old are both of you?" They looked at each other and clearly they didn't know how old the other was and I couldn't believe that they hadn't thought to ask that.

"1743." Ambrose was so old I could hardly believe it.

"I'm not an eternal creature. I really am 25. So, only two years older than you." I smiled and winked at him jokingly as he added on the comment as a joke. He wasn't normally so calm but finally he was able to talk of his real self.

"So silver, holy water are still no good?" They didn't seem to answer as readily but they both seemed to be comfortable with my line of questioning.

"Only in their first form does it have the movie sort of effect. In their second form it hurts but only ever so slightly. It is manageable. Like an itch just before it starts hurting." It made sense that their lives were manageable.

They both also seemed to feel like I had heard all that was needed for the time being and so Ambrose left and I sat awkwardly as Apollo looked on with a strong degree of intrigue.

"I'm sorry if I upset you." He never apologises and so I had to snap my head up to look at him and his face held a tinge of red as he looked at me. Clearly he was trying with me.

"I acted out. You can call me Enyo. It is easier than my first or last names. I suppose I should take up the promotion as well. It will pay more and open up so many doors. I will get to work with you and also the annoying parts of my job are lost." He looked at me and we both knew that it was going to happen but it was sooner than I had expected. His face filled with a smug smirk. The one he always dished out when we were wrong at work.
"Mr Link, could you tell me about you? The wechsler that you are?" He nodded and moved closer to me on the sofa. He had always paid a little more attention to me, well, he had for a year or so after I managed to win a seemingly unwinnable case. My name was out there then.

"I am a magical being. My life span is longer than it is for most. About two hundred years is young. We live closer to 600. By that age we are part of the inner circle in our local area. We aren't like the witches or wizards are. They have wands and have a first form of the classic green with warts look. I don't, I have the ability to carry out magic but not the same. My magic is stronger but takes longer. Neither groups though can do some things. No emotions can be seen or changed. Nothing deceptive and the person that has the magic done is always aware not only of what happened but who did it to them. So, not as exciting as you expected but I can make you want to kiss me. I can't make you physically do anything other than if it saves a life and risks none." It was noble his side of the ohne world. They could only be honest and I was a big fan of it.

"You've been different since Ambrose joined our team. Why?" His eyes stuck to a spot not too far off in the distance and I knew that he was about to tell the truth.

"You expect me not to be on my guard when an unknown blutegel such as he is works with us. I know what he is and nothing else. I can't risk him or rather his actions from killing or harming someone in our team. He already has with you. Really played with your mind and I don't know what the effects of that will be in the future." He wasn't happy about the mystery of the whole situation.

"I know that he has blood donors, I don't like the way he speaks of them but they seem to be into it. Besides I am led to believe that he relies on the bags because I saw one in his house. Not exactly what you expect in your colleague's house but he explained it to me. How you help him. He didn't tell me it was you but I figured it out that night." My words did little to give comfort but then he didn't seem too on guard as it was. We weren't at work and so professional and the proper conversations could be dropped.
