What???

I felt a light sweat form all over me as I spring into action. My mind felt light but I moved easily to my desk. Makeup plastered on and my face seemed to hold a glow to it. Not that I deserved it. Glows were what happened at certain points in a person's life and yet I hadn't experienced any of them. No sort of job improvement or relationship advancement. I had my rules for a reason.

My hands busied as I drove to work and grabbed my bag. I took a mental to stop off at a shop on my way back home. I had no underwear left aside from one awful pair. It was a pair of period pants. The type only worn if desperate and a pad was needed. Not to matter though as I walked into work and that was the last thing on my mind. The whole room had just changed. Someone sat at my desk and a strange man was on the right to it. I saw Maddy and stopped her.

"Where is George?" I knew that if anyone knew what was going on he would but she laughed at me and spoke as cockily as ever.

"You have his job now. Remember? Silly..." I couldn't hear what she was saying to me as she walked out of ear range. I walked away and furrowed my brows as she seemed to begin bitching and so I walked on. As soon as I did so a woman was in my face. She was so beautiful and her skin dark. Piercing blue eyes met me and she looked desperate about something. It stirred something in me. I wanted to help her if I was able to.

"Sorry, I am Nephthys. Can I help you? I mean, can you help me? Someone is at my desk and George is gone? Sorry, you are?" Her eyes went wide and then in a split second the man who sat beside my desk was at her side. I didn't understand but he was one beautiful man and if I was going to break my rules it might have been for him. Not that I ever would. Just as that happened my head hurt and I found the room spinning. I felt my eyes close and I tried to get my balance back but I couldn't.

When my eyes opened I was in George's office. But, it had my things in it. A picture of me and Mel stood at the front. I couldn't remember it being taken though as it looked new. I hadn't seen her in years though so something was clearly up.

"Ambros. You are an idiot. You know that this is what happens when you try to get into her mind and yet you keep going. Right, out you get she will be up in an second." A strange voice spoke from some place in the room. I couldn't recognise it though as it was weird.
"Enyo. How are you?" The man sat right by me as he spoke. I squinted my eyes and took in his face. If I had thought the last man was attractive I was wrong and I found myself wanting to do things but I had to stop myself.

"Only my family calls me Enyo." He smiled and let his hands lower down until he could kiss my head but I wasn't sure what he was doing because people just don't do that to me. I never had people just kiss my head. With that I sat up and leaned against the wall that had been beside me. Both of us were on the floor but he clenched his hand before finally turning to me and crawling forward until we were close to one another.

"Who are you?" His smile seemed to be contagious but my head was pounding and his closeness kept me from thinking straight. I looked cautiously down at him as he came to rest right before me. Then he tried to kiss me and I moved my head. He was to say the least, startled as he watched me stand and get to my feet. Nothing was making sense.

"What's wrong? My kisses no longer appeal to you?" I furrowed my eyebrows and glared at him. I could feel myself sneer as he looked up at me. Standing just before me.

"I don't kiss people and I am assuming that you work here. I have rules, I don't kiss." His eyes went wide and then he took in what I had said. Clearly he was lost or something as he licked his teeth and then he sighed.

"Ten rules, no relationship, rule ten, don't tell anyone and yet you broke it when you told me. You never told me why you made them though." I could and would not believe him. I made those rules to keep it safe. To keep my heart safe.

"I'm not stupid. I wouldn't tell you my rules. You are one of those pretty boys. The boy that gets you hella drunk and you have a one night stand with and then you wake up alone the next morning and the £20 is gone from your purse." I was very convincing if I wanted to be.

"Well, your rules didn't seem too important when we went at it on my desk for the past two months. You didn't say that when I took you to my house or when we went to your house." I didn't believe it. I would be able to remember that. Sex isn't something you just forget. Especially not when in the middle of a dry spell lasting a number of years.

"I would remember that." He smiled and looked into me. Then his eyes moved down to my core and a twinkling smirk claimed his face.

"I think your body still does. But, if you still doubt me I have all of your underwear, washed of course just because of hygiene and they are all in my draw. The ones you wore to work yesterday were delicious to see. Black lace. Washed last night. Just for you. Now, you speak so passionately about that man who is so bad. You have experience with one." I nodded and stood up. Just as I did so my phone rang and when I saw the screen my heart clenched. It was my little Mel.

"H-hello Mel." She must have heard my nerves and it shook me that her id would have such an affect on me as it did. Tears felt ready to fall as I waited for her to speak.

"Are you alright? Oh gosh, are you with Apollo? Couldn't you have just waited?" I looked to my side and asked his name. Loud enough for her to hear me and then he confirmed that it was Apollo.

"How- how do you know his name? We haven't even spoken in years and yet you know my life better than me." She laughed at me and then went deadly serious when she realised that I was serious.

"En. You two were like rabbits when I was staying at your place." My eyes went wide when I realised that the Apollo man really had been telling me the whole truth. I had let my barriers down to him and I had no clue that I had done it.
"What happened to you last night? Are you drunk or something?" I shook my head but forgot that she had no way of seeing that.

"No, I um, I opened my door last night to the delivery man. I invited him and he came in. It is a blur after that. I can't even remember his name or face. I can't remember what he delivered. I have an infection in my mouth so I was given amoxicillin by the dentist and I had just taken the last of it. My entire body is sore though like how my body felt after I got tasered by the police with you." I smiled to myself at the memory and the man stood before me looked dazed. A smile had just flickered as I talked about my memories with Mel. A reckless side that Neil had literally stomped out of me.

Eventually the two of us stopped talking and I looked up from my phone. A smile gracing on my lips but a headache had been present since I woke up and it was growing worse. I couldn't handle to keep my eyes open as the pain shot all the way through me to my feet.

"Look, you seem alright but I don't know you and it appears that I have forgotten something. Mel doesn't lie to me. But, that being said, I am not that same old Nephthys. I don't know why she was stupid enough to let you in but I won't be. Also, I am hoping that my eyes are closed or I am blind and my head hurts so bad that I want to pass out. So, I beg of you to just, please, let me go home. I will sleep the day away." As I said this I tried to stand but my head hurt still and I dropped like a sac of bricks.

"You can't go home. It isn't safe for you. Last night I think that something happened. You dropped far too quickly when I tried to read you, normally you can go for a long time. You have a strong mind. I am Ambrose, we know eachother well, we did. Both of us got along. Nothing romantic. But, you see we did spend a lot of time together. I think that the man you saw last night did something. Maybe he is like you." The final thing was whispered so clearly not meant for my ears as he spoke.

I suddenly found myself being lifted and taken to a new place. It felt like I had only moved slightly and yet the sounds around me were all new. I was either passing out or missing something. Eventually though I found something comfortable beneath me until it I wasn't in anyone's arms.

"Look, you are on your period. Your bag is by the bed if you need to change. The bathroom is not all that far away. Just feel along the wall and it is the door already open." It was the Apollo dude but faint sounds of another person were heard. They were in on something.
