Chapter 13

Anty Mairo's POV

Ever since we where kids Hajara has always been dads favorite while me and Adam our younger brother are moms favorite I and Hajara were never close I actually despise her she gets all of dads attention, she looks like him, and behaves like him sometimes

Hajara drives a range rover while I drive a 206 a fucking 206 I hated her for every bad thing that comes my way we went to the same university which is Nile she studied law while I studied microbiology everyone in school liked her everyone just wants her attention every guy out there wants to date her she had so many guys following her for attention to get her to speak to them girls in school all wanted to be like her she was a icon

No denying she's beautiful, smart, pretty, friendly and light skinned but I still despise her

Everywhere I go people only speak of her my friends included dad on the other hand gets her what ever she wants not that he doesn't do stuffs for us but he loves her mom she also has his mother's name dad never goes to sleep without seeing her which I hated so much why isn't he like that with us Adam also loves her so much that he never sees faults in what ever she does

I hate her more because she took something from me which I will never forgive her for she took the one man I had eyes for the one man I'd die for the one man I'd kill for, I'd die for she took that man away from me I still remember that day like it was today

I was sent to go for an errand by mom I drove my car to the mall just few blocks from our house getting into the mall I was in a hurry that I didn't know that someone was standing right next to me trying to get a basket I mistakenly hit the person aw I heard the person I was startled that I couldn't look up to see the person "am sorry I managed to say "no its okay am fine I heard the most melodious voice ever raising my head I saw him looking at me he had brown eyes and heard a well combed beard I couldn't lower my gaze he just cleared his throat and walked past me I couldn't think straight I got what I came for and left with him still on my mind I got home dropped the stuff I got in the kitchen then left for my room

I went late to school today because my lectures were in the afternoon Hajara left since around 8:00am which I actually don't care I parked my car at the parking lot and got out making my way to my faculty but what I saw stopped me dead on my track it was the same man I saw yesterday at the mall he was standing in front of a building talking to a man who seems to work here in the school I kept looking at him from a distance before he got into his car and left

I was done with lectures by 6:00pm I was waiting with Zainab for her brother to come pick her up before I left for home I didn't want to leave her all alone so I decided to wait with her in about thirty minutes he got here but I was shocked when I saw who it was "thats is your brother I asked Zainab nudging her, yeah this is my brother Muhammad she introduced us good evening I greeted him he doesn't seem to recognize me good evening he greeted back "am a bit busy Zainab let's go he said to Zainab without spearing me another glance he got back into his car "bye bestie I'll call you later okay "yeah sure bye I said getting into my car "Muhammad so that's his name and he's my best friends brother who knew but I have never seen him at their house I wonder why so now getting him will be easy Zainab can help me out right I'll just have to ask her

For the past 6 weeks now I have been trying to get Muhammad to notice me but all in vain when I go over to their house he gets up and leave when I try to engage him in a conversation he shuns me the only time he talks to me is when I greet him Zainab is also trying but all in vain and am not ready to give up I never will

Today I left for school early because i had a morning lecture I left without even having breakfast I got back home around 5:00pm I was so tired I went to the kitchen to get something to eat Hajara was in there cooking I never eat what she cooks I would rather starve myself than to eat her food that's just how much I despise her we don't talk much actually we don't talk unless its about something important I got what I went in for and left without saying a word to her

It was around 8:00pm when I went down stairs to check on mom because I was low on cash I needs some from her I don't ask dad for money unless he gives it to me himself I never ask

I stopped dead in my track no no no this is not true am seeing things yes am seeing things that's not Muhammad and Hajara sitting outside in the garden laughing at god knows what no no no this is not true Hajara and Muhammad how

She is trying to hurt me yes that's the only explanation to all this Muhammad is mine and mine alone no no I can't let this happen he's mine why is he with her I felt tears on my cheeks which I didn't know that I was in tears I ran back to my room I could hear mom calling me but I didn't stop I ran to my room locking it behind me I fell on my bed crying my heart out wait dose Zainab know all this I picked up my phone to call Zainab "hello I said when she picked up Zainab I need you to be honest with me did you know that my sister and brother are dating and you better tell me the truth "what no I swear I didn't know how could you think that of me I would have told you if I knew I swear I didn't know she said I cut the call without saying another word I laid on the floor in tears

I made up my mind to go and face my sister I barged into her room without knocking"you know this is not your room right mairo she said glaring at me which didn't scare me "for the first time in years am in her room "look am not hear to play chess with you or anything I need you to tell me what's between you and Muhammad I said she got up from her sitting position and walked up to me face and then smirked "that's non of your business but if you still want to know lil sis his my boyfriend and actually scratch that he's my fiance he's sending his people to ask for my hand next week she said i didn't know how and why but I slapped her she slapped me back and then we got into a fight mom, dad and Adam came in pulling us away from each other "go to hell I said before making my way out of the room

Come back here young lady dad said and sat on Hajara's bed sit here he said pointing at the center carpet of her room Hajara you to sit she sat down but as far away from me so tell me what was that all about dad said looking at us mom was sitting next to him and Adam sat on her dressing mirror stool

Its about Muhammad dad she just came barging into my room with ni respect asking me what Muhammad is to me and I told her only for her to slap me as if I was her mate "I've heard you now Mairo tell me why did you do that or let me rephrase that did you do what she just said dad asked "yes I did dad she knew I liked him and because she wants to hurt me she manipulated him into dating her I said with tears in my eyes

Wow just wow Mairo well to make it clear to you Muhammad and I have been together for 3 years now well almost 4 years and even mom knows that so I wonder how I stole him from you Hajara said with a smirk on her face

No that can't be true you're lying its not true I don't believe you "mom tell me she's lying I don't believe this

Its true my dear she's not lying they have been together for almost 4 years now I don't know how you have never seen him in this house but he comes here to see her from time to time mom said looking at me with a pity on her face

You see you hate me, you don't talk to me, you don't eat what I cook, you never acknowledge me as your sister, you don't even want to know of anything that has to do with me, you don't sit anywhere that has me in it for reasons I don't know why I tried my best to change that but you been you don't want to have anything to do with me and I respect that if you had cared you would have known all this but you never cared it hurts that my own blood sister hates me and says things behind my back about me but what can I do you're still my sister and I love either you like it or not now please leave my room Mairo I want to be alone

I got up and left I can't believe Hajara is getting married to my Muhammad I won't let this happen I just can't let it go I got into my room locking my door behind me I sat on my bed with my head in my hands I need to think of a way fast

I know the just the person who can help me I stood up smiling I will destroy you Hajara
