Chapter 18

Aslam's POV

For the past few days I've been noticing a black range rover following me it started a few weeks after Tasleem gave birth I didn't tell her because I don't want her worrying I know already who is behind me been followed so I informed my parents and made up my mind to take my wife and kids out of the country until the police can handle the matter I don't want any harm coming to my family I will kill anyone who tries anything with my family

I went to see Tasleem and the kids today after I closed from work I miss so much am literally going insane I love her so much she's not perfect but she's all I want she's perfect to me in every way I love everything about her, her smile makes me go crazy am the best version of myself by her side

I left Tasleem's parents house by 11:00pm  when I got home I honked at the gate but the gateman wasn't opening the gate which was weird so I got down from my car to check and see why he wasn't opening the gate I opened the gate to see the gate man laying on the ground in a pool of blood I quickly called for an ambulance the ambulance got here in no time reason been there is a hospital around the corner to my house we rushed him to the hospital I got a call from Tasleem but I couldn't pick it up

After some hours the doctor operating on my gateman came out requesting an audience with me I followed him to his office "sir the operation was success he's out of danger if he had been bought here a few more hours late he could have died he was shot trice one near his chest, one in his abdomen slightly near his kidney and one on his shoulder its a miracle he survived but he's in coma now and we can't say when he'll wake up but we'll do our best "thank you very much doctor I'll go pay for the bills I got up shaking the doctors hand I left his office and we straight to pay for the bills I paid and checked on him before leaving I already called my dad and told him everything he also informed the police about it  I can't have my family around this I left the hospitals and headed home to start packing I packed mine and Tasleems clothes she'd pack for the kids tomorrow we are going to Dubai I have a house there already I called my security there to let him know am coming so that they will have the house clean before we get their

I called my father in law too let him know what was going on he agreed with me on leaving the country "I couldn't sleep  so I went downstairs to get a glass of water I came out of the kitchen making my way back up stairs when suddenly I remembered we had CCTV cameras around the house I can check and see who really attacked the gate I grabbed my laptop from my room and sat down on my bed to check and there was the devil herself Anty Mairo she and two other men they pinned my gate man to the wall it looked like they were trying to get some information out of him but he wouldn't budge so they shot him and left him laying there to die how cruel can this woman get why wouldn't she just leave us alone she destroyed my brothers life now she's after mine khalil left for Paris a few days after we reunited we all understood he needed some space and time alone so we let him be we talk all the time we video call too I miss him maybe I'll go visit him when I get the time now I have to handle Anty Mairo for the safety of my family I sent my dad the video for the CCTV camera

Am heading to Tasleem's parents house right now I made sure I had a police escort I want them to be there when we go to the airport too Tasleem and the kids were ready when we got to her parents house she looked like she's mad at me we said our good byes and left we are going on my private jet we went to my parents house to say good bye we got to the airport and boarded our plane Tasleem still isn't talking to me the police left and our private jet took off Nabeel and Nabeela are sleeping Tasleem is in the small room on bed laying down so I went to her "babe I said trying to pull her to me she ignored me and moved away please babe am sorry for whatever it is I did I haven't been myself since last night a lot happened when I left your place yesterday please am sorry forgive me I said pouting I know she can't resist me when I pout she glared at me sending daggers my way before she sat up "I don't like you keeping things from me Aslam I had to hear all this from dad telling mom not dad telling me or you telling me Aslam am your wife we go through think and thin together good or bad I want you to tell me things I don't want to have to find out things from others it hurts you know she said with tears in her eyes I love you Aslam and I want to always be there for you just like you mean the world to me I also want to mean the world to you "I pulled her to me hugging her I love you Tasleem and you mean the world to me my kids also mean the world to me nothing will ever change that okay and I promise you I'll never keep anything away from you okay now wipe your beautiful face and smile okay I love you my wifey I pulled her face to kiss her I've been waiting to kiss her since I saw her this morning but I couldn't because of the people around us I put my lips on hers kissing her till we got out of breath

We got to Dubai my driver came to pick us up when got to our house in no time the house was cleaned I took Nabeela in my hand while Tasleem had Nabeel in hers I showed her our room which was connected to Nabeel and Nabeela's room so that we can go in and out of their room when we want I went into the bathroom to freshen up I ordered for some food because we are both hungry

Tasleem meet Vanessa she's the house maid here and this is David the security officer and Lans he's the Gardner you've met john the driver already so everyone this is my wife Tasleem they said hii and left

I happen to have a company here which I run with my childhood friend who is also my best friend Mubarak so by the end of this week am going to start working here dad and Mubarak will handle the companies in Nigeria and mom will handle the hotels and event centers

I want Tasleem to go back to school for hear PhD when Nabeel and Nabeela are a year or two I'll get them a nanny I know she'll get bored by staying at home doing nothing but if she goes back to school she'd be busy and she'll get some new friends to go out with and have fun talking of friends I had a friend get me some books for the library downstairs Tasleem loves reading so I had him get her some I invited him and his wife for dinner too am sire she and Tasleem will make good friends

I know its not easy for her leaving Nigeria like that her parents its not easy for me too but we have no choice "hey babe what are you guys doing I was on the floor with Nabeel and Nabeela fight on who gets to climb my back Tasleem kept laughing and taking videos of it the finally slept off we took them to their room then went back to ours we ate dinner already so we said our prayer before getting to bed

I pulled Tasleem putting her head on my chest babe "hmm?  She answered I was thinking if Nabeel and Nabeela are a year or two would you want to go back to school for your PhD?  I'd really love that Aslam I'll have something doing and I'll meet new people and all so yes she said hugging the life out of me my drama queen "I'll get the kids a nanny so you don't have to worry okay "okay she said and that was how we slept off

Am starting work today its been a week since we moved here and Ahmad and his wife are coming for dinner too Mubarak also invited himself so I have to be home early

I had so much work to do today and I have to leave early I got home by 7:30pm Tasleem made me go take a shower because I was being lazy Ahmad and his wife Fatima got here first and then Mubarak a few minutes later dinner was fun Tasleem and Fatima clicked on really fast the look like the have known each other for long and am happy about it I want her to feel free and be herself till everything back home blows over and its safe to go back
