Obsessions are like flowers: they wilt. However, there are also flowers made out of wood. Those that never wilt. Which obsession will it be, I wonder?

Y/n, throughout the rest of the library study hour (or half-day really), noticed something extremely disturbing. I think Miho honestly has a crush on Akihiko...

First: Miho gushed and looked pleased that Y/n invited him along. Second: when Miho came back to the convenience store she shared her ice cream with Akihiko. And third: when Akihiko excused himself to take a call outside (who the heck calls that psycho anyways?) Miho pulled Y/n aside to interrogate him about Akihiko's love life and general likes/dislikes.

Y/n, mouth hanging open, wanted to say something like: "You're joking, right?" and he probably wanted to direct that question to God — but he didn't. He simply robotically replied to each question.

"What's his favorite color?"

"Black." Like his soul.

Y/n didn't even know if that was true. Did psychopaths have favorite colors? You know what, he didn't want to know. It would probably be something along the lines of: "Miho's eyes" or "Miho's hair" or "Miho's nail polish".

"What sort of snacks does he like?"

Why didn't she just ask him before she went to the store? "Ice cream."

That one was a lie because Y/n knew Akihiko detested anything sweet. "But for my Miho, I'll be anything and endure anything!" — oh god, Y/n's imagination was a scary place. He could honestly see Akihiko saying that with little hearts in his eyes.

"Does he... have a girlfriend...?" Miho's blush was strong. All Y/n could think, this whole time, was:

Akihiko, you lucky son of a *****. Honestly, what were the odds that the victim of your stalking would have a crush on you — Never mind, Y/n inwardly groaned. I forgot half the school loves Akihiko.

It was hard to remember when Y/n had only seen the psychopathic side of him for months now.

When Y/n was finally released from his questioning, he instantly exited the library and found Akihiko — who was still on the phone and blinking owlishly at Y/n's approaching form.

"Wait for me," Y/n hissed, grabbing the sleeve of Akihiko's shirt and tugging him closer. "Don't leave the library without me. Just. Wait."

Y/n promptly flew down the steps and lost himself in town, needing a moment to himself. Needing a moment to just think.

How could Y/n not have noticed it before? Miho and Akihiko were in different classes — but Miho was always at the basketball games. Y/n had never given it a second thought. And when she rejected the boy behind Building C, she said she had no interest in dating. Obviously that was a lie, Y/n grumbled inside his head. The (h/c) boy was getting a headache.

But this is a good thing, isn't it? Y/n caught his harried reflection in a bakery's display window. He then raised his arm and gave himself a "so-so" hand gesture for an answer. It was somewhat of a good thing. Meaning this part was smooth sailing but Y/n could easily see Akihiko messing everything up by being the insane psycho he naturally was.

Y/n sighed.

The (h/c) boy ignored the messages from Takeshi that asked him where he went and eventually, Y/n returned to the library's entrance late into the afternoon. The building actually appeared closed, the inside dark, and before Y/n could curse Akihiko for leaving him behind after he explicitly told him — Y/n spotted Akihiko's form, sitting on the steps of the library's entrance.
