It has been a few days of Jimin going to school, spending the afternoon in the library studying, lying to his parents with what he assumed were the most impossible things and going to Yoongi's studio.
He enjoyed spending his evening there. Yoongi would close up the studio at about 7pm when Jimin came by. Then they would move to Yoongi's apartment – sometimes alone, sometimes together with some of the guys who worked there. They would play some movie on Yoongi's TV while they rested on the couch and drank after the long day. Jimin, of course, did not drink. He still found the taste unpleasant. He also really appreciated how the guys did not smoke in the room but instead went to the terrace. Jimin really liked the games the guys played together too – the most hilarious versions of truth or dare, drinking wheel and some other Jimin did not know the names of.
And as much as Jimin liked being surrounded by people (even Hoseok and Jeongguk joined a few times), Jimin loved best the times he and Yoongi were alone. The TV would be on as always, playing some movie neither of them was paying attention to as they sat close to each other on the couch, their fingers barely touching and them talking about their day and their dreams. Yoongi did not drink with Jimin alone and barely went out to smoke as if he did not dare to leave the other boy. But Jimin was the same. He could stay like that forever.
Today was Friday and as much as Jimin wished to go and stare at the screen of the TV, projecting yet another boring movie, with the elder male again, he could not.
It was not as if they were not going to meet but Jimin still wished he did not have to communicate with other people that day.
"You are coming today, right?" It was Jeongguk who drove Jimin out of his daydream, Taehyung walking on his other side. "Hobi has not been to school today so he must have been there all day."
Jimin hummed. "Yoongi said he will drive me," he said. "But I should talk with mum first."
"You seem really close to Yoongi-hyung these days." Taehyung grinned. "Be careful or he will burn you too."
"Burn me? He won't... We are friends." Jimin frowned. Taehyung rarely spoke like that and it was annoying.
"Or are you?"
"What are you–"
A car honked and Jimin had no chance to ask Taehyung what he had meant. He muttered a soft "See you later." and hurried for Yoongi's Impala.
Yoongi was dressed stylish as always. His jeans were black and ripped on his knees, his shirt was for once plain white, his usual leather jacket on. "Hop on, babe."
"You dyed your hair," Jimin stated the obvious. Yoongi's hair was now in a pale shade of blue. He still smelled of dye, a new fragment to his scent.
"You like it?" Yoongi touched a strand of hair as he started the engine.
"It suits you." Jimin smiled and had to resist the strong urge to touch Yoongi's hair. He had always wondered what freshly dyed hair would feel like.
"The color reminds me of the sea." Yoongi stayed silent for a while as if wondering whether to say something. "Of you."
Jimin did not know how to respond to that so he just nodded his head shyly, trying to hide his rose cheeks.
One of Yoongi's hands found its way on Jimin's thigh, its usual place when they were driving. Jimin held Yoongi's hand, playing with his fingers.
"You phoned your parents?"
"No."
Yoongi sighed. They had stopped at a red light and he had the chance to look Jimin in the eye. His eyes were harsh but not even close as much as when facing anyone else.
