Lisa disappeared once again only to be found next moment behind Changbin, hitting him with all her might at the back of his neck. Changbin stuttered something and swayed backwards nearly bumping into Seungmin who was practicing together with Yugyeom. The light user grumbled by just feeling Changbin's presence but he could not really do anything about it. Hoseok was watching them both closely. He did not want any more accidents after all.
Jimin was crouching by the sea together with Mingi and trying to summon at least the little bit of his power that was left in his control. He could barely change the course of a small wave or make it go a few centimeters more than it was meant to. Mingi, contrary to Jimin, seemed proud and fascinated.
"Just a little more," he would say every time Jimin managed to make the wave come closer to them.
You are probably wondering what is Jimin doing by the sea in this chilly weather, wearing only one of Yoongi's old black hoodies and a pair of ripped jeans, while the sky looked as if it were a grumpy old man regarding the local kids with his regular frown. Well, now you see, Yoongi had told Jimin that if they wanted to find Doyoon they had to enhance Jimin's ability even if a tiny little bit. How fortunate that there was a training that day.
"Focus, Jimin," said Mingi, seeing as Jimin was failing to hold the wave.
"Why are you so concerned about me? Shouldn't you teach everyone?" Jimin pouted. He did not mind the attention though. He was frustrated enough that he could not use all of his power. Seeing as Mingi was trying to help him control that tiny drop that he had left from it was actually making him happy.
"Yoongi asked me." Of course, he did. "And I like you, kid. Even though you are kind of powerless right now, you have that thing in you... Persistence. I like it."
Jimin did not answer. He did not know what to. There was a small moment of silence between them. It was just Jimin looking back and forth between Mingi and the sea. He liked how the elder's hair matched the ocean's deepest shades of blue. But what Jimin liked the most were the more shallow parts where the water was lighter and resembling small crystals, just like Yoongi's hair.
He wished Yoongi was there but he could not. Some business with Namjoon, Chan and new kids or something.
"What are you thinking about?" Mingi asked, nudging Jimin at his side. "And don't say Yoongi or I'm sending that dagger flying at you." He eyed a small iron dagger stuck in the sand.
"Then I have nothing to say." Jimin laughed. "Teach me how to use it."
"What?"
"The dagger." Jimin picked it up, running fingers up the blade but careful not to cut himself. "It's more useful than my abilities at the moment. I doubt I can hurt even a fly with one rain drop." He laughed bitterly.
"Rain drop..." Mingi's brows furrowed.
"Yeah, it's pathetic, I know. But that's all I can summon when I'm not so close to the sea."
"Hey, Jimin..."
"Yeah, hyung?"
"Didn't you tell me you can sense water bodies?"
–
"So tell me why I have to be a babysitter again," said Yoongi.
He was dead tired. He had left Jimin for training and headed straight for his meeting with Namjoon only to find two more people than expected. If he knew about what was coming at him then he would have much rathered he could just stay with Jimin and be the one to teach him instead of Mingi.
"We need them under control, Yoongi-hyung." Namjoon obviously tried to refrain from looking at the two young adults on the couch where they were playing at their phones. "The chaos they caused was equal to one made by a person on aleodisuac!"
