it's elmo's birthday and our parents just happened to be out of town for yet another masterclass.

it's been a month since that big dinner and elmo and hannah are now dating. elmo confessed that he had actually liked hannah, even before she hit her big glow up and it turned out that hannah has always liked elmo too. she never told me because she thought i would be mad because he's my brother but honestly, i'm okay with it.

anyway because of him dating hannah he let our group be at the party, even though he said he wouldn't invite any juniors.

elmo's parties have always been big and are only thrown when our parents are out of town. i was always too shy to join in, let alone tell my parents about the party either.

but now things are different because i want to go. for no particular reason of course. i mean it's not like i've been texting the hottest boy in school!

i mean that is somewhat true. after jaden gave me his number we messaged for a little while but the conversation eventually died.

tonight, i wanted to talk with him in person and i looked really hot if you asked me.

i take few videos of myself in the mirror with the booming music from the party downstairs in the background.

after i go downstairs i greet all of the girls and some of the guys. as i greeted anthony, i noticed he was with hannah kim, his ex. she was gorgeous.

i walk over to the drinks table and pour myself some soft drink. i don't think i belonged here.

the senior girls were all either drunk or high and so were all of Elmo's friends. there was no sign of jaden yet though.

the girls and I danced until I left to refill my drink, which was when a good song came on.

hannah came over to me and dragged me to where her and other random seniors were dancing. i was uncomfortable at first but then actually enjoyed being around them.

it was so crowded and as i danced, i was rubbing up against the person behind me.

i feel a pair of hands on my waist as i get spun around.

"hey mars"

"oh. hi anthony"

"i love it when you say my name" he said in my ear over the music, which made me shiver.

"where's the girl you were with?"

"oh don't worry about her. you know, you never ended up showing me your room"

anthony was so drunk. before i could pull away myself, someone does it for me.

"jesus mars! when do you not try to get in with my friends?"

"says you! and i actually don't try at all!"

elmo and i argued as people stared as if they've never seen a pair of siblings fight before. people began to record the argument but i noticed the flash was specifically behind me.

i turned and a whole bottle of my parents' red wine from the cellar gets poured all over me!

"fuck, sorry!" he jokes, pulling his phone out to record my reaction.

i was frozen as the wine dripped down my whole body.

i eventually push past anthony, elmo and everyone!
the girls tried to follow me but i told them i just wanted to be alone.

as soon as i got into my room, i slammed the door behind me and looked at myself in the mirror. i was covered in red wine! thank god it didn't get in my hair.
