Luke had me go walking with him again. He said I needed fresh air from sleeping the past two days (and he wanted to see the scenery.. Freaking weirdo). The town was literally covered with any place that would be considered scenery, yet he chose to go in the woodsy neighborhood. The air was crisp with a nice wind though. Making annoyed mood loosen up a bit.

"It's nice right Cal?" Luke asked ahead of me. He had a black leather jacket on, black jeans, black converses, black shirt, and the little color added, a red snapback. It was the brightest thing on him beside his hair. He was literally the lord of black clothing.

"Yeah whatever," I replied looking at the kids that played outside of their homes. One noticed me and flashed a quick smile. I sent a small one back as I continued to follow Luke from a distance. He walked around and sometimes twirled as if this was the Peppermint Forest in CandyLand. How I mange to deal with his difference between me and him is strange.

"Lighten up Cal Pal! How about this, I'll race you to the end of the street. If you win we'll leave and if you don't then we're staying for another 2 hours. Got it?" Looking up at Luke I knew what he was doing. He was finding a way to keep me from being bored. But, also silently saying he was faster than me in running. Yeah, I haven't gone to the gym lately but it doesn't mean that I've gotten any slowler. I'm half vampire for christ sakes!

"Alright Puke, you're on!" I replied confidently. Walking over next to him I bent my knees a little. We prepper our stances even though it wouldn't make much of a difference to us real.

"1..2..3...GO!" With that I was off with Luke right next to me. Neck and neck while we yelled comments at one another. We both knew I was the fast runner so I didn't see a choice in putting full effort. Running just helped me get my frustration out most of the time, and it was a nice feeling.

By the time I stopped I realized where I was. It was a big open grassy area with trees along the sides, and backyard fences at each ends. It didn't look like anyone has ever been here with how crisp the grass was and how quiet it was. It reminded me of the memories of when me and Luke would run in the woods when we were kids. Before everything was messed up and difficult to believe.

The crunching of grass and heavy breathing caught my sensitive hearing as I pushed the memories away. Finally Luke! Took you forever," I thought as I turned around to feel two arms wrap around my body. Shocked, I looked down at a girl hiding in my shirt. I felt the need to yell at her before she started sobbing.

"Please, please, please help me! T-they're g-g-going to k-kill m-me!" She begged in between sobs and gripped my shirt. Instead of smelling nice like normal girls, she reeked of iron and salt.. Blood.

Before I could ask her what was happening, I smelt strong alcohol and some cleaning spray. Looking behind me I saw a man and a woman walk up a few feet away. Both of them looked pissed off and you could see from far that their patience was thinning.

"Hello there sir, I'm sorry for our daughter over bothering you," the man said as he looked over to the girl. I felt my shirt tighten as they talked. Looking down I heard her heartbeat slow down. "She passed out, great." I thought as I sighed.

"Yes, she's been very reckless lately. We were looking all over for her," the woman added on as she stepped forward a bit. Looking down at her I noticed some bruises forming and the smell of blood still remained.

"Telling from her condition, I don't think she's the one being reckless," I replied as I gently put a hand on her shoulder. I rubbed my thumb slowly to calm her.

"Who are you to tell us how our daughter is being?!" The main replied angrily as the woman made a frown. They took a few steps forward while I studied them.

"Considering you both reek of alcohol, she reeks of blood, and has bruises forming. I'm not stupid." I explained as listened to her breathing to make sure she's somewhat ok.

"WELL THAT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS KID! LENIA YOU FUCKING WHORE GET OVER HERE NOW!" The woman yelled as I froze. Lenia?!? My mind went back to that memorize of that bruise I saw on her thigh.

Listening back into reality I looked up to see the man running towards us. Before I could react I heard the grass crunching rapidly and saw a blonde blur. Hitting the man the blur stopped in front of me and I smirked.

"Took you fucking long enough Hemmings!" I yelled as Luke looked back at me with a smile. "I got lost and didn't know which way you went," he replied back shrugging," to then find you in tr- wait is that Lenia?!"

Scooping up Lenia in my arms I dashed to Luke and gently put her in his arms. "Be fucking gentle, she's not in the best state right now," I explained as I looked over at her parents, "I'm gonna handle some shit."

Sensing a presence behind me I dodged it before it could make impact. Her father tried to swing at me while I continuously dodged them all. When he began to breath heavy I did a right hook that probably broke his jaw. Then ended with a sock to his stomach as he hit the ground hard. Her mother screamed profanities at me as I tripped her and stepped on her ankle hard enough to break it.

"I hate shitty people who beat up the weak. Especially parents who do it to their kids. You fucking sumbags." I said as I spit down on the ground. Dashing up to Luke, we both looked down at Lenia. Taking off my jacket I placed it on her and tucked it a bit. We run fast enough to get cold quick.

"Let's go home," I simply said as Luke nodded in response. Looking back at the two at the ground, I just smirked and dashed off with Luke.

That took forever huh? I'm sorry for the long wait! Daylight came up on my shuffle and I just felt the need to continue it. So hopefully you guys enjoy this! I'm sorry it's kinda everywhere.
