"Lee Ji Eun." Ji Eun jumped as she closed the door to her home after telling Hoseok goodbye. It was about 6:30 in the evening now and the only reason Hoseok left was because he had already had prior plans with Yoongi. It was her mother who spoke, she had barely even raised her voice but Ji Eun had thought she was still resting in her room.
"Yes, Eomma?"
"You have some talking to do, young lady."
"I know I do. In my defense I didn't want you to meet him quite yet."
"What? Why?" Eun Ae scrunched her brow as she pulled her daughter toward the couch Ji Eun and Hoseok had just been occupying.
"I don't know. I don't want you getting attached to him and then him leave. He's only a friend, anyway." Ji Eun shrugged.
"Ji Eun not everyone is your father." Eun Ae's voice turned stern.
"I know." Ji Eun said almost inaudibly.
"And this guy, Hoseok, he seems to really care for you. He seems like a very kind man."
"That's what you said about Kosuke and obviously he wasn't that much of a kind man nor did he really care for me." Ji Eun sighed.
"Sometimes people make wrong judgement calls and he was one of mine and yours, but that doesn't mean all judgement calls are bad."
"Dad was a bad judgement call."
"Lee Ji Eun don't say that." Eun Ae raised her voice slightly. "He wasn't a bad judgement call because I got you from him."
"Just because you got me doesn't mean that he is a good person Eomma."
"You're right but if I would have had a different view of him when I was younger I would never have been with him and I never would have gotten the light of my life." Eun Ae hugged Ji Eun close as she said the last few words.
"I love you, Eomma."
"I love you too sweetie. Now, about Hoseok again. I think that he's great and sweet and you should have never wanted to hide him from me."
"I think he's great and sweet too, but he's just a friend."
"A friend that you like." Eun Ae wiggled her eyebrows.
"Stop, no! I've only known him like a little over a month."
"You've known him this long and I'm only meeting him now!"
Ji Eun laughed at her mother. "I'm sorry!"
"You should bring him over more often. Maybe invite him to dinner one night."
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Yes and some time soon would be nice. I want to get to know your new friend."
Ji Eun rolled her eyes as she nodded to her mother.

Hoseok smiled as he sat down in the driver's seat of his car. He enjoyed hanging out with Ji Eun. She made his day brighter. Her smile made him smile. He liked that she was so hardworking in everything that she did. He liked a lot of things about Ji Eun.
As he drove to the bar he was supposed to meet Yoongi at he kept thinking about Ji Eun. The more he thought about her the more he began to think that he was beginning to really like her. Although he was coming to this conclusion, there was a small voice in the back of his mind nagging at him.
This small voice was reminding him that he didn't know all too much about Ji Eun not for lack of trying. He wanted to know everything about Ji Eun but it seemed as though Ji Eun only wanted him to know the bare minimum. Hoseok continuously pushed that voice that said these things further and further back in his mind accounting it to being his insecurities seeping through. He didn't want that small voice to be right so he chose to ignore it as best he could.
"Hey, Hoseok, over here." Yoongi waved to him when he stepped through the bar's doorway. "You're late." Yoongi said as Hoseok sat down beside him.
"By like..." Hoseok looked to his watch, "eight minutes."
"Still late." Yoongi shrugged.
"I got caught up in what I was doing, deal with it."
"And what was it that you were doing, Mister Busy Man." Yoongi turned to face him directly.
"I was at Ji Eun's house and we lost track of time." Hoseok shrugged.
"Ji Eun's house?" Yoongi emphasized the last word.
"Yes."
"And you lost track of time doing what?" He gave Hoseok a suggestive look.
"Talking, you idiot, we were just talking."
"Yeah, okay and I'm a freaking pineapple."
"Her mother was there dude."
Yoongi shrugged and laughed at Hoseok. Hoseok shook his head at his friend and ordered a drink.
