Freak {Will Byers}

Chapter Four

They all sat around El as she looked for Hopper in her "dream world."

"He's in the woods. With Will's mom."

"What are they doing?" Max asked.

"Ill-annoy. They're going to Ill-annoy."

"Illinois? Like the state?" Mike questioned. She shrugged and went to the bathroom with Max to clean off the blood on her. Mike and Lucas started rambling on about stupid stuff as Mari sat on the ground in front of Will's chair.

She was so tired from everything and it was overwhelming to think about the events that happened. She leaned her head on Will's knee and closed her eyes. He wrapped the bottom part of his blanket on her shoulders to keep her warm.

They sat like that, in peace, until Will got up to talk to the boys. Mari opened her eyes when she heard a female voice calling Mike on the top of the stairs.

Johnathon and another girl walked down the stairs. Johnathon have Mari a small smile as the girl looked at her confused.

"This is Marissa. She knows everything." Mike introduced.

"I'm Nancy, Mike's sister."

They shook hands and smiled as El and Max came out of the bathroom.

"It was the exact same thing that happened to Will last year. And look at this," she handed them the file of Mrs. Driscoll, "Look at the temperatures."

"He likes it cold."

"Okay do this crazy old lady that was eating fertilizer-"

"Mrs. Driscoll."

"Yeah right, Mrs. Driscoll. What time did this happen last night?"

"Around 9:00."

"You waited all night to call?" Johnathon asked, offended.

"I was waiting for the doctors to run some more tests." Nancy replied.

"You weren't there?" Will questioned.

Johnathon through his hands up in frustration, "I'm here now, aren't I?"

"Hallelujah!" Nancy praises sarcastically.

Everyone grimaced at the the tense mood in the room.

Nancy side, "What time was your sauna test?"

"Around 9:00." Everyone replied.

"That proves it. That proves my theory."

"She was flayed, just like Billy."

"Flayed?"

"The mind flayer. He flays people. Takes over people. Once they're flayed, they basically become him." Mike explained.

"And if there are two flayed-"

"Then there has to be more." Mari concluded.

"Heather," Eleven realized, "Billy was doing something to her. She was scared and screaming. Bad screams."

"What's a good scream?" Lucas asked.

"Max said-"

"Doesn't matter." Max cut off.

"I'm sorry. Who's Heather?" Nancy asked.

"The lifeguard at the pool. I used to take my cousin over there so she would watch him." Mari answered.

"Heather Holloway?" Nancy asked incredibly. Johnathon and Nancy simultaneously looked at each other and spoke, "Tom."

The two rushed up the stairs and the kids followed them into the car. They drove off to this man, Tom's, house and rang the doorbell with no answer. El opened the door and they walked in. Nancy called out Heather and Tom's name but they didn't hear any responses.
