Lexi's POV

Harry and I had been writing letters to each other every day, like promised. It was 5:00 in the afternoon and I was waiting for Harry's letter, which always arrived around 5:00. The hardest thing about sending letters to each other was you had to take into consideration the time difference. When it was 9:00pm here, it was 3:00am for Harry.

Back in March, I celebrated my 16th birthday. I received nice gifts from eveyone, but the one thing I really wanted was for Harry to be here with me. After all the celebrations and cake, I went up to my room and started crying. I missed Harry so much. Then, my owl flew through the window, dropped a letter in my lap and flew into her open cage. I recognised the writing as Harry's and immediately opened it. The letter read:

Dear Lexi,

Happy Birthday to the most amazing girl anyone could ever hope for. I hope you had an amazing day. I wish I could be there with you, but I can't. Once Voldemort is dead, we will never leave each other's side. I love you so much, my special girl.

Love, Harry.

As I read the letter, tears spilt down my cheeks, some landing on the letter.

So when it came time for Harry's birthday a few months later, I wrote him a special letter too. I wrote:

Dear Harry,

Happy Birthday! We're now both 16! I hope your 'family' don't treat you too badly. I wish you were here with me. I would spoil you with so many presents that you would be swimming in wrapping paper.

I've been counting down to when school starts again so we can finally see each other once again. I love you so much, more than you could ever imagine.

Love, Lexi <3

As I was reminiscing, Jessie flew through my open bedroom and handed me my letter. But instead of it being from Harry, it was from Hogwarts. A little disappointment spread through me as I thought Harry might've forgotten about me. I opened the letter anyway. It read:

Lexi,

I am writing to you during your holidays to inform you that you and Harry shall be travelling with me to see an old friend. Your parents should be fine with this, but ask their permission just incase. I will arrive in your town tomorrow in the morning.

By the way, Harry didn't write to you today because he's packing his luggage, which you should be doing after you ask your parents.

Regards,

Professor Dumbledore.

My disappointment evaporated as excitement spread through me. I would be seeing Harry sooner that I thought. I quickly rushed down the stairs and asked my parents' permission, showing them the letter as proof. They decided it would be alright and that I can go to Hogwarts straight after this expedition. I squealed in excitement and hugged them both tightly as they laughed at my excitement and enthusiasm.

While on an excited rampage, I ran up and picked up Ricky, who was now nearly 2. He squealed in delight, laughing, while I carried him upstairs with me.

"Do you want to help me pack my bags, Ricky?" I asked him.

He nodded and I sat him down before pulling out my suitcase. Ricky, being incredibly cute, climbing into my open suitcase, thinking we were playing in it.

"Ricky, you can't sit in my suitcase. It's for my clothes,"

Ricky just laughed at me and continued having fun mucking around in my suitcase. While he entertained himself, I grabbed out all the clothes I was taking and made piles on my bed. By the time I'd finished organising my clothes, Ricky started crying. I picked him up out of my suitcase and realised why. He need a diaper change, an urgent one at that.

"Mom! Ricky needs to be changed!" I yelled from the top of the stairs.

"You know how to do it, don't you?" She asked me.

"Well...yeah, I guess. But wouldn't it be better if you did it?" I did not want to have to change my baby brother.

"I'm cooking dinner, so no."

"What about Dad?" Ricky was getting more and more upset by the second.

"He's not home, you know that. Please, Lexi. Just be a good sister to your little brother," Mom pleaded with me.

"Fine. But you totally owe me for this!" I said over my shoulder as I walked towards Ricky's bedroom where the change table was set up.

I laid Ricky on his back and started sliding his pants off. I reluctantly undid his diaper while he squirmed around.

"Okay, Ricky. Just hold still for me, buddy."

Ricky wasn't listening and kept squirming about, making it hard for me to get his diaper off without spilling any of the contents. I placed it in the bin next to the change table and grabbed the wipes. I cringed as I wiped Ricky, hoping nothing got on my hand.

I quickly placed the clean diaper on him and pulled his pants back on. Ricky was now laughing again as I placed him down on the floor and went to wash my hands.

I then walked back to my room and continued to pack, Ricky not in my suitcase this time. I couldn't wait to see Harry finally.

Tomorrow just couldn't come quick enough.
