Eight pieces of chalk

It was three in the morning, and Y/n hadn't slept a wink. The only thing she was glad about was that her quirk didn't totally rely on energy, and knowing her step-father, she knew she would have to use it some time in the day.

Instead of trying to sleep, Y/n decided to go for a run. She dressed in an All Might sports bra and leggings, and began her jog.

As she was vibing to her favourite tunes, she didn't notice someone trying to get her attention. Something large and furry wrapped around Y/n's torso, startling her. She ripped her earbuds out, ready to yell at the person, only to be met with a slightly familiar face. She almost dropped her phone.

"O-Ojiro-kun! H-Hi!" Y/n blushed, still dangling a few inches off of the ground, thanks to monkey-boy's tail.

"Hello, Y/n-Chan. How have you been doing?" Ojiro asked. Y/n rested her elbow on Ojiro's tail, then balanced her head on her elbow.

"O-Oh, I-I've been ok..." Her sentence trailed off. "Did you make it to UA? I saw you at the exams..."

"Yeah, I did! I'm in 1-A. What about you?" Ojiro blushed at how comfortable Y/n looked .

"W-Well, I guess w-we're in the same class!" Y/n said semi-excitedly. Ojiro placed her back on the ground, and the two started to jog together.

"Great!" The two chatted and ran some more before they said their goodbyes. Y/n felt tired but refreshed in the sense that she had at least two friends in her class.

Y/n swiped her student ID card at the door before entering the silent school. She arrived a few minutes before, unable to wait (or train) another two hours before leaving for UA.

Entering the large door labelled 1-A by a small sign, she obviously found a deserted classroom. Not even her father was in the building yet. She unpacked what supplies weren't in her locker at her assigned desk, which she discovered thanks to the Itty-Bitty slip of paper with the seat numbers at the front of the classroom.

Y/n became bored after approximately 3.5 seconds of waiting, so what did she do? Steal a pack of chalk and begin to draw on the chalkboard visible at the classroom's front. An hour of work later, Y/n decided to take a break from her masterpiece. She dialed her step-father's phone number.

["Shouta Aizawa"]

"Hey dad"

["Hey, baby! How are you?"]

"Fine" I didn't sound fine. "Are you at school yet?"

["Just leaving the house. Why?"]

"I'm already here, in the classroom. Just wanted to let you know..."

["Why are you there so early? I didn't even know that you weren't at home!"]

"I couldn't sleep, so I just... Came to school..."

["Lame! I even slept, and you know how rare that is."] Y/n smiled at her father's voice.

"Ok, Boomer. I'm going, love you!" The two said goodbye, and Y/n went back to her drawing. She drew an image from a dream she had years ago, on the day her mother had died. The little snap-shot had stayed with her all this time, though it was just random.

Satisfied with her work and full of chalk, Y/n collapsed into her desk chair. She was already dozing off. I guess she was going to get a bit of sleep in, after all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n stirred from her slumber, lazily opening one eye. Someone had turned on all of the classroom's lights, and a cliques of people were talking and laughing loudly.
"Oi!" Y/n shouted, attracting some attention. "What time is it?" She asked grumpily. A few whispers could be heard.
"It's the villain from the entrance exam!"
"Wow, look at those bags. She must be tired."
"What a nice round pair of tits!"
Y/n's eyes narrowed at the least comment. She used her quirk to pimp-slap the one who made the comment.
"Fuck off Mineta. Will someone just tell me the gODDAMN TIME?!" Y/n growled, running a chalky hand through her hair.
"It's 8:35, Yama-Chan!" Came a cheerful voice from the door. Izuku Midoriya was immediately bombarded with a crowd of fans. Y/n ignored them, about to go back to sleep, before being approached.
"Hi." Y/n glanced up to see a boy with two different colours of hair. She vaguely wondered if he'd split-dyed it. His expression wasn't really any emotion.
"H-Hi." She muttered in reply.
"Did you draw that?" The boy asked, pointing to the chalk elk on the board. Y/n nodded. "Shoto Todoroki," The boy stuck a hand out for her to shake.
"Y/n yama- I mean, Y/n Fuwa." She shook his hand half-heartedly. The boy raised an eyebrow skeptically. Y/n blurted the first thing that came to mind. "U-Uh, I'm a-adopted, a-and my guardians just let m-me change my na-name..." Todoroki nodded, unconvinced.
"Well, I should sit down, Fuwa-San. Nice to meet you." Todoroki declined his head in a slight bow, and strode past Y/n's seat to sit in the desk behind her. She let her head hit the desktop.
"Fuwa's not even my mother's maiden name..." Y/n mumbled at her stupidity. How could she forget the name she went by for almost a decade? How could she forget about her mother's family branch? About the L/n's?
"I'm Aizawa Shouta, your homeroom teacher." A lazy voice penetrated Y/n's muttering session. She looked up and smiled at her step-dad. Todoroki noticed her change in posture and aura, as did a certain blonde.
"It took you eight whole seconds to shut up. That's not good enough." Aizawa continued, rustling in his yellow sleeping bag. He pulled out a tracksuit. "Put these on and head out to the fields. We're having a test."
