A large hand snatched the collar of Y/n's gym uniform, effectively stopping her in her tracks.

"Where the hell do you think you're going." The voice of Hitoshi Shinsou stated, rather than asked.

"Lea- hic- Leaving." The h/c-ette swayed drunkenly, despite being 110% sober.

"No." Shinsou turned to Midnight, who was deleting Y/n's name off of the score board. "Ms. Midnight!" He shouted. The woman raised her head in interest.

"Y/n has retracted her withdrawal." Y/n's head sank low, her body shuddering with the effort of keeping her cries inside. Midnight took no notice, restoring the h/c-ette's name to the scoreboard excitedly.

"Yay! Now, Miss Kuma moves on indefinitely. We'll have to go off which teams she stole the bands from last, and the point values they held." Midnight pointed her whip to the Jumbo-tron behind her.

"Team Midoriya: Advances! Team Todoroki: Advances! Team Bakugou: Advances! Team Ser- Wait, what's this? Team Shinsou: Advances!"

"What a comeback for team Shinsou!" Present Mic screeched, much to the displeasure of his heavily-bandaged commentating partner Shota Aizawa.

"Thank you all! We will have an hour-long break before the last event; A Round-Robin tournament! To those who haven't advanced, there are many games taking place in the next hour..." This event's winner tuned her aunt out. She shook out of Shinsou's firm grip, fleeing the open arena to the confusion of her fellow participants.

Y/n raced through the halls, navigating the twists and turns smoothly. She had no destination; just a place where she could be alone. Tears dripped down the girl's face, blinding her.

"S-Sorry." Y/n sobbed when her shoulder bumped something rather hard. She didn't know if it was even alive, but the thought of hitting someone was the last on the h/c-ette's mind.

"Y/n?!" Todoroki snarled. "Get out here." He had seen the girl run off and followed not too far behind, clearly oblivious to the fact she was upset.

"Stop being such a prissy spoilt kid. Y/n!" He called again, nearing the stairwell to the roof, which was ajar.

Todoroki begins to climb the concrete stairs, beginning to fear what he found at the top. Something almost electrical charged the air, making him break out in a nervous sweat. It coated his very being, pressing him back towards the safety of the arena, suffocating his erratically beating heart. And still he pressed onward.

A warm golden light spewed into the dank stairwell from the rooftop, warming the air, but not lessening his worry. Todoroki thrust the door open, exposing himself to the beating sun. He squinted from the shift into brightness, though his damaged retinas could make out her silhouette, a black shadow in this golden-blue heaven. A breeze rippled through the air, causing her long hair to wave at him. He squeezed his eyes shut, rubbing them to get used to the light.

"Y/n." He closed the door behind him, cautiously coming towards her. She was sitting on the roof's ledge, crying. As Todoroki came closer, more of Y/n's features were visible. A small pair of dove wings fluttered restlessly at her shoulder blades, a golden glow radiating off of her h/c hair. She doesn't answer him, instead going stiff and

wiping her tears.

"Leave." She pleads, struggling to keep her wavering voice strong.

"Not a chance," Todoroki comes closer not having a clue what will come next. The h/c-ette reaches into her lap. Pulling out a slip of neatly folded paper, she weights it under a small rock beside her.
