Hakeems POV

As I get ready for this family dinner, I was wondering what was going to happen at this damn function, because crap always happens involving our family. I feel Angel hug me from behind. I smile bringing her hands to my lips kissing them, Turning to face her.

Me: You ready for this?

Angel sighs.

Angel: As ready as I'll ever be babe

Bree runs up to us dressed as Angel picks her up kissing her cheek.

Bree: *smiles* I'm ready mommy

Angel: *smiles* I see princess

Me: Alright girls let's go

The girls and I leave the condo heading to Lyon Manor. We walk in being greeted by our brothers.

Jamal: Hey y'all

Andre: Hey Keem hey Angel.. Hey Bree

The four us hug as our mother came from the kitchen.

Cookie: Hey babies *smiles*

I put Bree down letting her run to our mom. Angel & I hug our mom and kiss her cheek.

Me: Where's dad mom?

Cookie: He said he's bringing someone over he'll be here soon... But y'all come and sit down

The six of us sit at the dinner table and talk. Angel nudges me gently.

Angel: *whispers* Where'd do you think dad is?

Me: I don't know baby.. Whoever he bringing must be important

We hear the door shut.

Lucious: Sorry I'm late everyone

Angels POV

As soon as dad came to the dinner table with Kingsley, I choked on my drink. Hakeem pats my back.

Me: *coughs* I'm good

Hakeem: You sure baby?

I nod my head. Dad and Kingsley sits across from us. Jamal, Andre, Hakeem, Mom, & I look at each other.

Cookie: *scoffs* Uh I hope you have a reason for bringing that damn brat in here Lucious

I look at my dad

Lucious: Well since he's my son I think it's only right for him to be here at the family dinner Cookie

My brothers & I look at each other.

Kingsley: I don't mean any harm Mrs.Lyon

I stand up looking straight at Kingsley.

Me: I'm going to let you know this sh*t here and now... The sh*t you did is wrong and also just because you're his son.. Doesn't mean I have to like you

Everyone was quiet

Me: I was here before you and I'll still be here *smiles* and I'm going to eat with or without you

And with that being said, I pulled the tablecloth off the table with the food still on it, letting it crash to the floor. I go upstairs slamming the door behind me.

Hakeems POV

I look at everyone.

Kingsley: I didn't mean to make her upset

Me: Don't worry about it.. I'll go talk to her

Lucious: Please do... I'll just go lay Bree down

I get up from the table and head upstairs knocking on the door.

Angel: Who is it?

Me: It's me baby

Angel opens the door and hugs me. We sit on the bed.

Me: I know you're still adjusting to this new sibling thing.. So am I

Angel: *scoffs* no sh*t

Me: but we're gonna have to deal with it baby

Angel sighs & nods

Angel: Alright... But if he cross some damn boundaries

Me: *smiles* I'm going to beat his ass

Angel & I laugh hugging each other

Me: I love you *smiles

Angel: I love you too

There was a knock at the door and we see it's our dad.

Lucious: Ang sweet heart- *gco*

Angel: *upset* Dad I'm not use to this sh*t yet

Me: We're both not

Lucious sighs

Lucious: I understand you'll need time to adjust to this... But can you at least try to be nice to him.. Please princess

Angels POV

I sigh and nod.

Me: Alright... I guess I'll go apologise to this bright skinned child you have

Lucious: *chuckles* thank you

I go downstairs and see Kingsley by the fireplace.

Me: Hey

Kingsley: Hey... Look Angel I'm sorry for just popping up out of the blue

I shake my head

Me: It's alright... I would like to apologize to you for my behavior at dinner... I'm still trying to adjust to having a new brother

Kingsley nods

Kingsley: I understand

Me: look I promised dad I'll try to be nice to your ass.. So I'm having a performance tomorrow night at Empire.. *smiles a bit* and you can come

Kingsley: Thank you *smiles*

I nod and go back upstairs. I see Hakeem laying in bed. I lay next to him as he kisses me.

Hakeem: ready for your performance tomorrow night? *smiles*

I nod

Me: *smiling* yea... I love this song I wrote a little freaky and grown

Hakeem: mmm I can't wait to hear it baby

I giggle as Hakeem and I kiss.
