Cyrus was able to get back into the groove of things, and as the bell rang, he was excited to rush home and tell TJ about his day.
He felt a large force push him against his locker.
"You don't have anyone to protect you now," A voice said, looking up, Cyrus saw Kira giggling behind her boyfriend who had him pinned against the wall.
"I won't hold you here for too long, because you'd probably enjoy it. Do yourself a favour and stay away from that musical or else," He said, hissing in Cyrus' face.
Cyrus struggled out of his tormentor's grip and simply said:
"I think I know why you hate TJ and I so much. It's simple. We actually care deeply about each other and have a relationship outside of school. He will always be a better basketball player than you and I'll always be there for him.
But you and Kira are only together for status. If you really think she actually cared about you and wasn't just using you to do her dirty work then you wouldn't keep bullying me to make her happy whilst risking your scholarships." Cyrus grinned smugly before showing the bully an email that he had written to the school board the previous day and the attached screenshots of the cyberbullying and voice memos to prove his case.
"I will play Danny Zuko, I will get into a good college and TJ and I will be happy together for a long time.
And you will stay here, in the middle of nowhere, bouncing from one person who doesn't love you to the next.
Also, thanks for the bruise, it'll help prove my case to the school board," He said calmly, waving energetically as they stormed off.
"My boyfriend is so cool," TJ said, in awe. Cyrus jumped out of his skin, highly alert since the attack.
"I was terrified," Cyrus admitted, exhaling deeply.
TJ took his chin and pecked him on the nose before they walked home, hand in hand.
