Reagan and Desiree both walked into Saks & Fifth with their book-bags on their backs. "How we doing this?" Reagan asked. "Mark and switch, you know how I like it", Sai'Yanna responded with a sly smirk. She took the right side of the store as Reagan took the left. She marked everything from Prada to Dolce & Gabana. The white saleswoman with her bright orange hair and pale skin kept her eyes on Reagan as she flowed through the store. Catching the woman's eye, Sai'Yanna figured it was time for a distraction. And to her surprise she found the perfect one. The Versace Jersey Cutout Safety Pin Mini Dress. "Excuse me miss", Sai'Yanna yelled out, but the woman paid her no mind. "EXCUSE ME MISS", Sai'Yanna yelled out finally gained her attention. "Oh I'm sorry miss how may I assist you?" "Hey do you have this Versace mini in a size eight?" "This dress right here?" "Yes is that a problem that I want to buy a three thousand dollar dress?" Sai'Yanna shot her a look that could kill. The saleswoman broke out into a sweat clearing her throat. "No ma'am it's not, I'll go get that for you right now." She hurried on her way as Reagan went to work filling up her black Louis Vuitton bag, everything that Sai'Yanna marked she managed to snag off of the hangers in the matter of two minutes. Just as soon as she was done "shopping" the saleswoman came rushing back out with the dress, darting her eyes directly at Reagan as she made her way to the dressing room.
"Here you go miss", the saleswoman said with such poise handing Sai'Yanna the dress. "Thank you so much", she faked giving her a weak smile. She walked into the dressing room where Reagan switched bags as she popped the beeper off the hip of her brand new Versace cut off dress. Stuffing it into the bag neatly she walked out of the double doors without being questioned or accused.
Reagan figured it was her que to exit the building as she headed towards the doors. "HEY YOU MA'AM STOP", the saleswoman shouted but Reagan going. Security jumped out from no where stopping her at the door. "Miss can we check your bag", one of the security guards asked. "For what? Y'all think I can't afford shit out this boujie ass store?" "Miss we just want to check your bag." "Without probable cause! That's some fucked up shit!" Reagan was making a scene, catching many of the customers attention. The saleswoman waltzed her way over towards security guards with a grimace smile on her face. "I've had my eye on her the whole time she's been here and that bag is filled with our merchandise", she said sounding sure of herself. The tall fair skinned security guard took hold of Reagan's bag, unzipping it revealing nothing but a bed sheet. All of their mouths dropped open as she smiled snatching her bag back.
Thirty minutes later Reagan came strutting out the store with more bags than her hands could carry. Sai'Yanna hopped out of her truck, opening the trunk helping her with the load. "What the hell happened back there", Sai'Yanna asked amazed. "Girl they gave me a big ass store credit for me being wrongfully accused", she said laughing, going into one of the bags grabbing the open toed black Guiseppe Zanotti heels she seen Sai'Yanna looking at, "and these for, I seen the way you was eyeing that damn shoe and these bad." They both got into the truck and headed back to Brooklyn.
For a while the only thing that was on Sai'Yanna's mind was finding where the hell her father was but another thought was her paper chase. All the thoughts of money pushed her father back to the back of her mind, the place she wanted him to stay. Reagan sat there with her head in her phone not paying anything no mind, she could care less what Sai'Yanna was thinking about at the moment, her main focus was looking good for Ace tonight.
As they both sat their in their own worlds Sai'Yanna's phone started to ring on the car, 'SILKKKK' flashed across the dashboard as Reagan hurriedly answered the call.
"Hello?" "Yo Sai?" "Wassup Silk?" Reagan facial expression turned from a promising smile to a frown once he said Sai'Yanna's name. She had always liked him since they were kids but she always felt like he had more of a thing for Sai'Yanna than her.
