April 30
10 A.M. : 1st Glimpse Inc.Walking into the doctors office, Sai'Yanna checked herself in for her four month check up to make sure everything was going well. Dr. Melrose walked Sai'Yanna into her office, getting her stomach prepped for her ultrasound. "How you been Sai'Yanna?" She asked, not taking her eyes off of the monitor. "I've been fine, what about you?" "I've been good. Where's the hubby?" "Handling some for his mother", Sai lied. She didn't want anyone in her business. Rubbing the device around her jelled belly, everything seemed to have looked fine. Melrose wiped the jelly off of her stomach, helping Sai up. "Girl you look like you need a drink." Melrose laughed. "If I wasn't pregnant I'd surely be drunk as hell right now", Sai'Yanna sighed. Melrose knew something was wrong she but brushed it off.
Sai pulled her shirt down, grabbing her things and leaving the room with her next appointment card. Not wanting to go home, Sai decided to stop and treat herself to some ice cream.Pulling up to Oddfellows Ice Cream Parlor, she seen how busy they were trying to push her way inside. Finally making her way to the counter, her eyes locked with an old friends. "Well, well, well, if it isn't mama to be Sai'Yanna Kain. What can I get for you?" He smiled. Sai'Yanna couldn't help but to smile, every time she was around him, she got butterflies all over again as if it was meant to be him instead of B. "Can I get a triple strawberry swirl?" "I gotchu ma." He fixed Sai's exactly how she liked it. She forgot that his dad owned the place. Back in high school her, Reagan and Silk stayed in the parlor when it was hot as hell. He came from behind from behind the counter, not dressed like everyone handing her the ice cream personally. "This one on me", he said giving her a charming smile. "Thank you Cassie." Sai said looking at her feet. "Lemme walk you out", he insisted.
They both made their way out of the crowded parlor and walking down the block. "So what you been up to besides getting ready for motherhood?" He asked.
"How did you even know I was pregnant? And nothing mostly just staying out of the way and getting ready for the little person to come on out." "You know Reagan can't hold water", he laughed. She shook her head yeah, licking her ice cream. "Hopefully this baby like ice cream cause everything else comes right back up. He or she so picky", Sai said laughing. "But what have you been up to Cassie?" "Well I been running pops shop since he been sick, watching my son grow up and going back and forth from here to LA." Sai'Yanna was shocked by the news. "You have a kid? How old is he?" "He'll be three as of Saturday. You should come to the party, I'm pretty sure Melanie would love to see you." Sai'Yanna stopped in her tracks, looking at Cassie in shock.
"You tied the knot with messy Mel? I remember I whooped her ass in high school cause she slept witchu. Now look at y'all. Together and shit", Sai said jokingly, nudging his shoulder. He laughed, wrapping his arm around Sai's shoulder. "Nah we just had a kid together. She gotta man now, we just coparent." "Aht don't be trying to get cozy with me Cassie. You already know wassup", Sai said putting her belly in between the two. "Man I know that Sai. You my friend if anything. I don't wanna come in between that."Bricks came driving down Kent Avenue seeing the two together. Trying to pretend as if he didn't care, he kept his eyes on the two as he sat at the stop sign. Sai'Yanna didn't notice him as her attention stayed on Cassie who kissed her on the forehead. Bricks brewed into flames as he drove past them. He was hurt seeing how fast Sai moved on. Grimy ass bitch. And she pregnant with my baby. Shit lame as fuck. He thought to himself as he came to a stop, parking his truck, hopping out and sprinting down the block. He approached the two, catching their attention. Sai'Yanna rolled her eyes as he made his way over to them.
"So this what we doing? It ain't even been a whole week." Bricks protested. "Been a week since what?" Cassie asked. "Don't worry bout it Cassie. He's just upset about some past issues." Sai'Yanna rolled her eyes. "Y'all messin round Sai? And please keep it a buck wimme" Bricks asked sincerely. Sai'Yanna shot him a cold stare, a stare that read "please don't do this here." No Bricks we're not. This is my friend from high school, we were catching up on old times." Cassie looked in between the two, putting two and two together.
