Sai'Yanna waited for Bricks day in and out but after waiting for him to come home for a whole week she gave up, packing her bags and going back to her place. She wanted to be there for him as much as he wanted her to, but he was showing no effort. He hadn't even took the initiative to call and see if she was okay. Sai'Yanna blew his phone up repeatedly but got the same outcome every time.Sai'Yanna got her place back in order, lighting candles, turning on throwback R&b music and making a light dinner. She was running herself ragged trying to keep up with Bricks, but she needed him to be in her embrace and not out doing anything stupid. She stared restlessly back and forth from her phone to the clock as she watched the hours pass. Ten turned to eleven, and eleven became twelve. She grew restless, putting the candles out, walking up to her bedroom, snuggling into her thick duvet covers, and crying herself to sleep. God please bring my man back to me.
It was five A.M., someone came buzzing on her door. Sai'Yanna turned in her bed restlessly, checking her cameras, seeing a rained on Bricks. She buzzed him in, rushing to the door. His grief was at its peak and his intentions wasn't to hurt Sai'Yanna, but the only thing that was on his mind was his big brother. He staggered over to Sai'Yanna as she cried, she brung him into her embrace. He cried on her shoulder as she rocked back and forth letting him grieve. "Baby, I love you so much and I'm sorry that happened to your brother." "That was best friend, yo", Bricks responded through sobs. "I swear on my unborn kids ima find the mu'fucka that did this to him and kill they ass slowly. Mu'fuckas gone feel me."Sai could see the vengeance in his eyes. "Bricks please don't do anything right now", she said looking him in his eyes. "I'll lose my shit if something happened to you. You hear me?" Seeing him like this tore her up on the inside and she knew he needed her through all of this. Bricks didn't answer her.

Bricks stayed locked up in his condo until the funeral. He didn't want anyone to see him weak. The only comfort he got was seeing Sai'Yanna's face when she came over to check on him. Every time she smiled at him she took some of the hurt off of his heart. Sai'Yanna was patient with him and understood he needed his time to grieve. He barely said two words to her, she knew he was fighting his own demons in his heart and mind, but Bricks held on tight to her every time they were with one another. He felt like he was dying slowly on the inside. His brother had been his best friend and confidant all his life, now he was gone and never coming back. He planned on murdering whoever was responsible for killing his brother and he was going to make them suffer, killing them slowly, feeling all the pain he was feeling. He knew he needed his time to make his heart strong again and when it did he was hitting the streets to find out who was responsible for it all.
Bricks wore a navy blue Tom Ford suit as requested, to the funeral. He looked as if he just stepped out of a fashion magazine, with his VVS cuff links , Cartier shades and rose gold Cartier tie clip. He looked at himself in the mirror and took a deep breath as he prepared to send his brother off.
Sai'Yanna sat at her vanity in a snug black Alexander McQueen dress that wrapped like a robe with a deep V line near her breast line. And she wore her hair in a deep side part, low ponytail and a pair of huge black shades that covered her eyes. "You sure you want me there?" Sai'Yanna felt like it was her place to be there. "I mean it's mostly your family and I, ehh, don't want to feel—"
"Sai I want you there, you family now, remember you're about to be my wife. I need you today", he said. Sai'Yanna felt the agitation in her stomach. She knew exactly what it was. She was pregnant but didn't want to tell him because she felt right now wasn't the time being that he was going through so much. She didn't know how far long she was but they'd never used a condom during sex, so she was clueless to when it happened exactly. She had a feeling it happened while they were in Vegas but not totally sure. Her eyes roamed the room as she thought about the little person growing inside of her. She was engaged and pregnant. She couldn't believe how her life changed within the small period of time. I was just hustling my ass off just to pay for designer tags until my money kicked in, chasing after a plan that flopped I found something worth way more than money and I'm more than grateful.
"You good?" Bricks asked her. She came back to reality shaking her head yes. I think I'll wait until the funeral is over to tell him.
"What's on ya mind ma?"
"Nothing." Bricks could tell by the look in her eyes that she was lying. "Don't lie ma, I don't want us to keep secrets. Now what's wrong?"
"Bricks. I, uh, I'm pregnant", she whispered. "You what?" He asked loudly. He lifted her chin. "You sure?" She nodded her head yes as tears flowed down her cheeks. "Yo, ma why you crying? You just gave a nigga a reason to keep breathin'. I'm bout to be a father", he said in excitement. Seeing him overjoyed made her smile. "You ain't gotta ever worry bout nothing. We bout to get married, you carrying my lil son or diva. Ima always take care of you. My family ain't gone want for nothin", he assured her. "I just need you to help me through my brothers funeral. Be strong for me today." "I can do that", she said kissing his forehead.
