Tracking down the blonde girl wasn't easy, she wasn't part of our pack so I don't know how she was able to work at an office full of werewolves. When I did find her she told me to leave her alone as if I had already come to her. She honestly sounded like a psycho. I just told her to stay away from him and she even admitted to sexually assaulting him and other employees.
Heat is going to start soon. I can feel it, it is Halloween break so we get three days off. Well now, I do everything online except for Art and Math.
Tonight I get to finally shift. This means I will get to finally be my wolf. I have been practicing what I can do on all fours. I think Anthony thinks, I am going loony. But he likes when I do certain things on all fours. Our wolves could sometimes take control so we can have sex in our beast form. Our wolves want to be connected and their first instinct is to mate. I am laying in my bed waiting for one minute before it goes off. My stupid Alarm clock.
My door is practically taken down by Anthony.
Practical.
He is an extremely determined man. Normally your first shift is supposed to be done alone, but when you have a possessive Alpha as a mate he gives it the big NO!
I could care less about that, but you know what? It will be nice to my mate. Maybe I can see him shift too.
"Good morning my goddess!" He says cheekily as ever. He walks over and sits on the side of my bed.
"I am going to be more than fucked tonight." I huff out, all I want is to fuck my mate. It's honestly not in control of that need it's an imbalance of hormones thanks to our wolf gene.
But we agreed to not have sex until we both agree on it being because we love each other. Which means he wants to take me on a series of dates to get to know me. I don't mind, but I don't know how to love him yet. I am afraid he will not feel the same.
Which means heat is going to be hell. Heat comes one month after finding your mate. You have to have your first shift before being able to feel the mate bond.
The moon goddess fixed the age we shift at about ten years ago. Or we would have a bunch of super hormonal teenagers, which isn't good because you have to try to be able to control your wolf. When you can't even control your temper, urges. Your wolf can take over and there is no coming back from that.
My and my wolf are on good terms right now and she will get to come out today.
"I am so ready to shift. My whole body feels tingly. Also, my wolf is very shy. She never talks to me." He laughs nonchalantly.
"They never do unless they want to voice their opinion on your love life or tell you when you are ready to mentally have children." He explains, blushing.
I roll my eyes because I know this, but if he would have been in the room when my wolf told me I was ready that would have been not-so-funny.
"Do I get to go to the placement center to see what I contribute to the pack? Or am I just your Luna?" I never paid attention to the whole being with an Alpha lesson in school, because I didn't want to be with one. But clearly, I did somewhere deep inside, I still wanted to be with Anthony.
"Yes you will, then you will get your job placement." He smiles and I pull the covers off of me. I realize my lack of clothing when the cold-crisp air sends a chill down my spine. I want to pull them back up, but I can't now.
Then I look up at Anthony and feel my cheeks burn. My lacey underwear was a full-on display with a black shirt of his. He looks back at me with the same blush. But his is way too precious
"You know you are way too cute." I smile and sit up leaning into him. His sweet scent fills my head and I start to crave his lips on mine. I run my hand through my curly messy hair trying to fix the mess of curls. I look into his dark eyes. He clears his throat and reaches into his pocket to pull out a small velvet box.
"I have something for you." He explains while opening a box with a beautiful pendant.
"It was my mom's," she begged me to give it to you." I don't know how to accept this, I hug him, and then I grip onto his shoulders.
"I have seen your mom wear this. Why would she give it to me?" I ask looking up into his eyes.
I want to know why? His stepmom raised him.
"It's a family heirloom. My mother said it was time to pass it down to you. All strong Luna's who run by the Alpha's side deserve luck and this is something that has brought, so much luck to my family." I want to cry, but instead, I just pull him into another hug. His mom used to wear it, she gave it back to the Alpha before she died to give it to his second chance mate.
"Can you put it on me?" I ask looking at the heart-shaped pendant. He takes it out of the box and says,
"Turn around." I do as
told and I feel the necklace feather across my neck.
"Thank you so much! I love your mom so much we should have your parents over for dinner soon."
I take the heart in my grasp and turn around to face him. "Anything for you." I get off the bed and pull him up.
"I am making us a smoothie." I peck his lips and walk out of the room.
We drink our smoothies and head out to the area for first shifters. There is no one there, but we get out.
"To shift think of things that make you mad. Things that make you pissed! Picture them!"
He shouts as I growl.
One thing is when he yells at me. Another is when my math teacher flirts. 3rd is anyone I love killed by anything other than old age.
I hear cracking and my body heats up. I want to scream in pain. The pain stops and I open my eyes. I open my eyes and look down at my coal-black paws and then up at my mate. He is in wolf form too.
His wolf is coal black with specs of brown. His eyes are black and all my wolf wants to do is be with her mate. My tail wags and I can tell my wolf is happy.
I walk up to my Alpha and lower my head so he knows, I know he is in charge. I begin to walk and then I start to run loving how warm my fur feels in the cold winter air. I pick up the pace and watch all the trees around me blur.
I stop and notice Anthony trying to keep up. I then do what we are taught to do so I can unshift.
Whisper to yourself who you love and the beast, that half of you will go away. I mind link him that I am shifting back.
"I love you, Anthony, I love you, you are mine, "I whisper while my eyes are shut. I open my eyes and realize how exposed I am. I quickly run to the tree line where I left my clothes.
I can hear leaves crunch behind me.
"You have Alpha blood? Pure Alpha blood..."
Anthony says shocked standing about, ten feet away from me. If I didn't have my wolf hearing then I would have never heard his whisper voice.
"I have what now?" I ask freaking out a bit.
He doesn't say anything he just stands there...
"Dude speak, tell me what it is.."
