Chapter 18: Brantley Cooper

When Brantley was two weeks old she was feeding him. She was watching him when she heard.

"Oh sorry I should of knocked." He said

She pulled her blanket up more. "Did you need something?" She said

Bucky made his way over to her. She made sure her tattoo was covered. Bucky laid down in her bed and fixed his knee.

"So did you settle on his name?" He said.

"Brantley Cooper James Baker." She said

"Jay.." he said

"What? I told you that I.." she said

"I know what you said." He said

She fixed her breast and started to burp him. "I always knew you would be a natural at this." He said

She smirked. Brantley let out two burps. "Can I hold him?" He said

"Yeah.." she said hoping he wouldnt notice nobody else had.

Bucky took him. "Hey little guy.." he whispered as Brantley made little tiny noises.

After awhile she put Brantley in his bassinet. They both fell asleep in her bed. Winnie and James came in from running their errands and a dinner date. "Where's James?" Winnie said

They checked on Jaycee to find her sleeping on Bucky's chest. They covered them up and made sure Brantley was okay. Bucky jumped awake when Brantley cried.

"Dear God.." he whispered.

She got up and got him a diaper. Bucky asked her to help him up cause he had to pee. She changed Brantley and fed him. He eventually fell back asleep.

"Mmm scoot back over here." He whispered

She laid back on his chest and fell back asleep. Brantley got up two more times. The next morning Bucky got him for his physical therapy.

When Brantley was two months old she was doing her homework as she fed him. Bucky came in from football practice.

He dropped his books. "Jaycee?" He said when he saw tattoo.

She jumped and hid her wrist. He pulled it out to him. "How could you! You knew it was me the whole damn time!" He yelled at her as he took off her glasses.

James came in with Winnie who took the bottle and Brantley. "Explain to me how in the fuck did I end up in bed with you?" Bucky yelled at her.

"This right here! Is exactly why I kept my mouth shut. You hate me you cant stand me. But pump a few bourbon and cokes in you. I dont look like nerdy Jaycee and suddenly Im your type!" She yelled at him

"I cant believe you would be that desperate to get my attention to pretend to be someone you are not. I don't love you anymore Jaycee get the fuck over it. Its been six years its time you get over how I broke your heart." He said

She broke into tears and walked out. "Jaycee stop.." Winnie said as she walked out of the house.

James ran out the door and stopped her at the car door. He hugged her as she cried. "Think about your son darlin..dont do this..lets go back inside." James whispered.

James walked back inside. She took Brantley "I want a paternity test done Jaycee...before I put my name on anything." Bucky said

She walked to her room she locked the door to the suite. She got Brantley down for a nap in her bed where she cried herself to sleep.

Winnie dragged Bucky by the ear to the kitchen. She smacked him hard across the face. "Now I dont know what made you turn into an ass son. But I have had enough! She tried to kill herself at 13 James because of you!! She was tired of the jokes and the names. She use to be your best friend and then you got around those boys and turned into the very thing you use to hate! You use to get so mad when Ben would take his anger to far son.." Winnie yelled at him.

"I dont blame her for not telling you in the first god damn place son. She knew this would be your reaction..we moved her in here so she had support and people that loved her. Your mother has been scared to death that she would try again." James said

"Im leaving..I will go stay with one of my friends." He said and he went to pack his stuff.

"In three days I want the test done.." he said and left in his truck. He drove out to his grandma's house. He laid down and deleted the pictures on his phone and laptop.

He rolled over and went to sleep. Jaycee was up and down with Brantley. Bucky had been helping her Winnie eventually came down and helped her.

Bucky didnt see her at school the next day. Winnie watched Brantley as she went to get her phone number changed. Bucky came by after practice she heard him and locked the door.

Three days later Winnie brought Brantley to the lab. "Where is Jacinda?" Bucky said

"She doesnt want to be around you right now." She said

They got the DNa test done and told Bucky he would have results in three days. That night Bucky ate dinner with his parents. She ate her food in her room.

Three days later..

Bucky's results came in. She stood in the corner with Brantley. The doctor opened the results.

"In the case of Brantley Cooper James Baker you are the father James." The doctor said

"Happy now.." she said and walked out.

That night after practice he came back over. "Where's Jacinda?" He said when he saw both rooms had been cleared out.

Brady looked down as well as James. "Jaycee has taken her two jobs back and her old apartment as well. Jaylen was able to get the money Julie left her and gave it to her. She has paid up to six months in rent and daycare." Winnie said

"So I hope you are happy now son. You or us may never see that baby again." James said and left to go do some work at the shop.
