I Never Thought It Was You

Chapter 2

Tzuyu POV

I saw Steph at the playground in the orphanage with her friends. A guy, probably a few years older than me, approached her. Steph hugged him and I saw a smile forming in her lips. "Angel unnie!" She came running to me and the guy followed her. I can't see his face clearly. I wasn't listening to everything Steph says. "So you're the daughter of the owner of this orphanage?" he asked. I nodded. Why is his face so blurry? What's going on?

I suddenly woked up and looked at the alarm beside me. 10 minutes earlier than my alarm, just great. Since I can't go back to sleep, I headed to the bathroom and took a shower. I changed on my working clothes and went to the kitchen. I put the bread in the toaster and cooked eggs and bacon. I put the finished toast on a plate, same with the eggs and bacon. While eating, I tried to remember my dream a while ago. After a few minutes of thinking, I gave up and just finished my food.

"You're quite early today, Angel" I looked behind me and saw my maid holding a broom. "Good morning, Amber unnie" I greeted her. I looked around the house and saw no one. "Jane is at our room. She's kind of sick so I let her rest for a while." she said. I placed the plate I've used in the sink and took a bottle of orange juice from the refrigerator. I also took a medicine from the medicine box and gave it to Amber unnie. "Give it to Jane unnie" I said and she nodded.

I looked at the clock and it says 7:00 am. I went back upstairs and took my things for work. *knock knock* I opened the door and saw Amber unnie. "Matthew is already waiting outside" she said. I nodded and took all my things. "Good morning, Ma'am Angelica" Matthew greeted. I frowned. "You can call me Angel, Matthew. No need to be formal" I said and went inside at the back of the car. After a few minutes, we've arrived at the building.

"Good morning, Angel" Sarah, my secretary/best friend greeted me. "Any meetings for today?" I asked while were walking. "You'll have a meeting with Sir Lee Seokmin at 10:00 am and meeting with the board at 2:30 pm." she said. I nodded and we both went inside the private elevator, exclusive for me, my mom, my brothers and also Sarah.

I went inside my office and saw a bunch of papers in my desk. I sighed and sat at my office chair. I looked at every single paper and they are all wedding events happening in two months. I called Sarah and asked for a cup of coffee. I reviewed every single paper and wow, this couples are demanding when it comes to their party. *knock knock* Sarah went inside and put the cup of coffee at the coffee table. "I also got you some choco pie" she said. "Thank you" I said. She handed me a folder which contains the output of the wedding event last week. "Just call me if you need anything." she said and I nodded.

After a few hours, I went to the meeting room to meet with Sir Lee Seokmin, a customer who will be married at the end of the month. "Good morning, Ms Angelica" He greeted and I bowed at him. The meeting took us about an hour and a half. I went back to my office and lazily sat at my office chair. I have another meeting with the board, goddammit.

*kring kring* I took my phone from my bag and answered the call.

(phone conversation)

Angel : Eomma?

Mom : Angel sweetie, what time will you finish work?

Angel : Probably 4:00 to 4:30. Waeyo?

Mom : Steph is looking for you

Angel : Tell her not to worry. I'll go there later

Mom : Here, she wants to talk to you

Steph : Angel unnie! Will you visit later just as you promised?

Angel : Of course! Do you want pizza? I'll bring some for you and the others.
