Mom practically threw us into the house it of excitement. I chuckled, pulling my hand away. She was obviously really eager to show off the home.
"Someone's excited." I said with a toothy grin. She laughed.
"Was I too enthusiastic?" She asked, I shook my head.
"It great seeing you this happy." I said.
"Come one, let's go see the house." She said, before hauling us along.
The house seemed way bigger in the inside than it did on the outside. It had enough rooms in it for me and the twins to all have our own rooms and have there be 2 guest rooms. I wonder why we need all this space. Man, it's gonna be a pain finding all the furniture, we might've kept all of our old furniture but it was not even close to enough.
I suppose we are going to need to go shopping soon. That'll be fun for sure. But since mom is an interior designer it probably won't take that long. It's so convenient that she is, we are so lucky to have her.
If you couldn't tell our family is close. I have never felt any disrespect toward my parents, they are great. They have always done everything to make sure we are safe and comfortable. They have always been amazing parents and for that I am grateful.
After the tour it was time to pick our rooms. My siblings chose to have rooms right across the hall from each other, they have never had there own rooms before. I thought they'd wanna be as far from each other as possible. I guess people can be wrong.
Their rooms share a walk-in closet, it kinda connects them together. And mom and dad's room is just right down the hall from them. I told my parents I wanted someone more secluded, I need my privacy as a teen after all. They then introduced me to the top floor.
This room is located where the attic would be. It basically is a renovated attic, but it's super nice. It's fully Finished, with a window with a built in padded bench by it. It overlooked the the flora of the area. It even has its own bathroom attachment! I knew I was gonna like this room for sure.
"You like?" Mom asked, I smiled.
"I love." I said, pulling my mother into a hug. Mom laughed.
"Okay kiddo, I'm gonna go and call the movers, you get settled in here." She said, as she walked down the stairs.
"I'm not a kid!" I yelled after her. I sighed.
I walked around the room. It was beautiful, perfectly suited to my style. I already knew exactly what I was gonna do with all of the space. I can already see it all in my head. I took my hand and ran it across all of the walls. It wasn't extremely large or anything, but it was secluded and most importantly it was mine.
I have no clue why but just that fact made it seem really important. I've never felt this feeling before. It was a sudden possessiveness that ran through me cold. I felt puzzled. It's not like I haven't had my own room before, have I? Of course I have!
My minds probably just being dumb. You know teenagers, always telling themselves they are special and they are the exception. I shouldn't think much about that feeling I just felt, it probably means nothing. I'm just looking to much into it.
It was still weird, like where does it come from? No use in thinking about it I guess, then why can't I stop? What if there is something here? Wait why did I just think that? I have no clue what's wrong with my mind right now. I move and all of a sudden I think I'm some main character in a soppy teenage story.
My thought were interrupted as I heard the moving truck pull up to the house. Dads home I guess. I got up off the floor and brushed myself off. Time to join my family I guess. I turned to leave but out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw.... something. I turned on my heel, going to investigate.
