The bell rang. I sighed, jumping off my bed. But as soon as my legs made contact with the ground I fell over.

"Ooo careful honey, you've been bedridden for three days. Your legs aren't very use to anything at the moment." Mom said.

I killed myself up off the ground, getting use to the feeling of walking. The bell rang again, whoever it was was certainly impatient. I growled, slowly walking to the stairs.

"We're coming!" I yelled, slowly moving down the stairs. Okay maybe at this point I was being a bit dramatic. I could walk fine now.

We made our way to the front door. I looked over to my parents, they obviously wanted me to open the door. I grabbed the doorknob, feeling it in between my hands it was so smooth and silky feeling.

"Stop stalling." Mom's voice broke me out of my trance. I stared at the door, a bit nervous but more determined. Whoever it was is important for some reason.

I turned the knob, hearing the click as it was now able to be pulled. I carefully pulled open the door, very hesitant. For some reason I was really nervous, I have no clue why. Maybe it's because my dad was being so serious. But I felt really anxious.

I looked out the door. And there was a person. They had a dark aura about them, it was a bit unsettling. I could see long brown hair poking out of their hood. Their hood seemed to cover their whole face.

"Hello?" I said, who was this person. I saw their lips peek out of their hood; they were smiling. "Um, you can come in if you want,"

As soon as the person stepped inside they shut the door and locked it. They turned to me, and slowly lifted the hood. As their face revealed I started to notice that the features were very familiar.

As the hood fell back I gasped. I couldn't believe who it was. And why they were here I had no clue. I pulled them into a tight hug, pulling back to touch their face. "Leila, I missed you!!"

"So why are you here." I asked.

"To see my dear friend of course!" She said. I eyed her suspiciously.

"How did you even get here?" I asked her.

"I drove, I mean you were out for three days and all." She said. I grabbed her hand, intertwining our fingers. I smiled at her.

"I'm glad you're here, you haven't answered any of my texts." I said. She looked down, clearly guilty. I patted her back. "It's all good bae."

I heard Dad clear his throat. I looked over to see him looking very serious still. Leila was smiling mischievously at him. I stood there confused. Then it dawned on me.

"Wait dad, is she who we were waiting for? How does this even involve Leila? How does she tie into whatever talk you want to have?" I asked. Dad stood there silent.

"Everyone, have a seat." He gestured to the couch. Leila happily complied, pulling me with her.

We got comfortable, sitting on the couch. Mom and Dad came over and sat across from us.

"So, um, where are the twins? Aren't they usually apart of family talk time?" I asked.

"So um me and your mother were thinking that you have looked rather depressed lately. And we have had a rather extensive conversation with the Vancove household. Apparently Leila hasn't been herself without you there." Dad said. Wait, was he saying what I thought he was saying?

"Okay, what does that mean for us," I gestured to me and Leila. Mom picked up where dad left off.

"We have decided that, with all of the extra room we have, to allow Leila finish her schooling here, with you." Mom said.
