The feeling of riding on the back of Jay was exhilarating. It was so liberating, I felt so free. I never realized how constricted I truly felt as a human. Here I was, discovering my own identity while at the same time doing something extraordinary. Like riding on the back of a massive wolf in a different world. My life was definitely not normal, not anymore. I had to accept the fact that this was it.
I felt guilt hit my chest. I was enjoying myself, actually enjoying myself. It was crazy the fact that I was almost happy, exuberant even. But somewhere in the realm, in this world my family was there. They were probably scared, they are most definitely confused. I hated being the cause for their anguish. I don't deserve to feel happy, because I was here on a quest. Save my family at all costs. So in reality I wasn't really free.
It was reaching the end of sunset, the moon was slowly peeking up over the h0rizon. It was very large, much larger than the Earth's moon. It had a color to match the sky, but undoubtedly it was a darker shade. The sky was a pale red color. It was the color of a fleeting sun, making it's final calls before perishing over a horizon. The moon was a crisp dark red. It was the color of blood, straight from the source.
The image of the moon struck me however. I felt compelled toward it, drawn to its magnificence. It was calling toward me. It was almost like the low howl of a wolf. It sang its song into my soul, striking something deep within. I was entranced, staring at it's beacon-like shine in the sky. It was captivating and I couldn't get enough.
The shadow people feel an unusual pull towards the blood moon. It's because of the connotation and the unusually amount of K-X04. It pools around you and leaves you in a trance. Though there is a special second reason behind why you are especially affected. Since you are the reincarnation to the deity behind the unnervingly red moon you feel a pull from it as it is the source behind the power you possess. It is also the reason why the seal on your powers will soon be deteriorating. The power on the moon will act as a cleansing element, cleansing all impurities. That includes the unnatural binding on your powers. He thought.
Things are so... extraordinary in this world. Everything so far has just been so.... wow. I exclaimed. And it was true. It seemed like almost everything had an unexplainable yet explainable supernatural event behind it. Even the moon had some bad-a effects to it.
The moon was slowly raising above the horizon line, the sun was dropping. Soon the only light the illuminated the night sky was the dark red moon. It was really something. It looked as if it was three times larger than the size of Earth's moon and the way it reflected that light was almost like a mirror. It was incredibly dark out and the red sun only gave everything a darkened hue. It was almost as if the sky itself was oozing thick darkened blood.
The road was becoming less of a dirt path and was becoming more of a brick like road. It looked like something you would see in more medieval media sources back in the human realm, or in a historical town or place. It was even and sleek and the brick was a brisk maroon. I wanted to reach down and feel the rough texture but that wasn;t a good idea as I was on the back of a moving werewolf. The air was so cool, it was the kind of night you would feel in the summer. It was relaxing. For what I have heard about this place it seems amazing. It feels more like home than the human realm ever did. And I knew it would be easy for me to traverse this world in pursuit of my family.
I was very lucky that I was able to see in the dark because Jay was not as lucky. He was able to see better in his wolf form but his eyes weren't well adjusted to all of the red around us. My eyes being the eyes of a shadow meant it wasn't really hard for me to see at all. I adjusted fine even during the night. My eyes kind of work like a cats, they reflect light which makes seeing a lot easier.
