Whoops Parenthood

Chapter 10

Jaylynn's POV

Archie and I were meeting at Pop's and since we decided we didnt want any distractions while we talked so I was leaving Jonah with Jughead.

"Now Jug please take care of him. This is my son so please keep him alive." I say.

"I'll be fine. He'll be fine. Now go." Jug says.

"Okay. Just please.." I say.

"Dont worry its only alittle. I'll be fine." He says.

"But you've never watched him alone. Maybe I'll wait for mom, or dad, or even Jellybean. Maybe I'll take him to Cheryl and Toni, or Veronica, you know Mary is probably home I'll..." I say.

"Hey you can trust me. I can do it." He says.

"Okay. Now he is napping now, but he will awake soon and there is a bottle in the fridge. Take good care of my son." I say.

I walked out and looked back before Jughead shut the door in my face. I took a deep breath and went to Pop's. Archie was already there and I grabbed my phone on the table and sat across from him.

"You okay?" Archie asks me.

"I left Jonah with Jughead.. Alone." I say.

"So." He says.

"He's never.." I say.

"Jug will be fine. Now if anything was to happen to either of us we need to have a plan for Jonah. The thing is your parents and my mom would all be hurt if someone who isnt chosen." He says.

"I know. Now there are two of my parents so they would be able to handle him as a team, but there is the thing of the Serpents. Your mom is on her own and might have a hard time just cause its one. Though she has a saver job. Tough choice." I say looking at my phone.

"Okay thats it." He says.

Archie got up took my phone and my hand and pulled me out of Pop's. He didnt say anything he just made me get into his truck. He just drive me to my families trailer.

"Thank god." I say.

I got out of the truck and went to the door. I barely opened the door and saw Jug playing with Jonah. My brother playing with Jonah was something I didnt except to see. Jug was actually good with him and it shocked me.

"Would you look at that." Archie whispers in my ear.

"Shut up." I say elbowing his chest.

"You know if anything does happen to us when we are over 18.. I wouldnt mind if Jug was Jonah's caretaker." He says.

"Did you plan that?" I question turning to face him shutting the door.

"How was I suppose to know you were leaving him with Jug?" He questions.

"You took me here... Im insane arent I?" I question looking at the ground.

"Yeah, but your cute when your alittle nuts." He says.

Archie lifted my chin up and I just looked up at him and he touched my cheek with his thumb.

"Thought I heard noises and boy arent you two awfully close." Jughead says opening the door.

"Oh.. Umm.. Anyway give me my child." I say.

I took Jonah from Jughead and went inside.

"So what did you talk about?" Jug asks shutting the door.

"Oh well.. Just something that has been on her mind lately. I just dont know if we have made up our minds just yet on what to do." Archie says.

"Maybe we did.. Maybe you were right a few moments ago." I say.

"Are you sure?" He questions.

"Yeah." I say.

"Whats happening?" Jug asks.

"If your sister and I dont make it till our son is 18.. We want you to take care of Jonah." Archie says.

"Really? Jaylynn made a fuss before she left." Jug says.

"I know, but when we got here Archie kind of spied on you for a moment and well... Your not terrible. Besides its only going to happen if something happens to us. So.. Would that be okay?" I ask.

"I would be honored." He says.

"Good. Now that that is out of the way..." Archie says.

"Still not the time." I say.

Now that Jonah will be in good hands if anything is to happen I dont have to worry. Though now is the hardest part finally letting the wall down. Am I ready for that?
