Louis
We opened the door to the garage quietly, Gabe shielding a freezing AJ from the cold. The wind whirred all around us, snow catching as it did. I held my face, which had subsiding pain in several places, more in my nose than other places. The cold air filled the gagrage, and through the dark, I saw several trucks.
I saw Clementine, passed out in the car, her lip bleeding and a large bruise on her cheek, her face leant up against the window. We rushed into the garage, and left the door open. I turned around to see Violet.
Ethan was on the ground, his limp hand in Violet's. As I got closer, I realised that Ethan had a knife in his head, and cold blood spilled onto the cement ground of the garage from his stomach, his face also bloody and beaten. The look of Ethan made me stumble back, all the air knocked out of me. AJ looked hurt, tears building into his eyes as he looked onto a boy he would've gone on to call his friend.
"What did you do?!" AJ snapped, and Violet looked up, tears down her face. "Why did you do that?!"
"AJ, I—" Vito stood up, Ethan's hand falling out of hers.
"We don't have time! Let's go!" Gabe yelled, rushed and panicky as he grabbed AJ by the shoulder and pushed him into the front seat. Violet and I hurriedly hopped in the back, me being squashed in between a waking Clementine and a mourning Violet. Gabe sighed, and drove out of the open space.
"This wasn't  part of the plan." Violet spoke. "Ivan isn't here!"
"Who gives a shit." Clementine spoke, barely awake. "His sister is the reason we're all struggling right now."
"I told you so." Violet whispered. "I told you guys Ivan couldn't be trusted."
We began pulling through the community roads, and as we did, I noticed a few people rush out after us. Possibly trying to stop us. Gabe drove faster, trying to lose them as we sped to the gate that determined the hunting route.
The guard at that outpost, who was dressed warmly for the weather, thought it was like any other truck, and walked over to open the gates for us.
We triumphantly drove through, and ventured the cold snowy night ahead.
We never ever saw South State again.
Short chapter, but it's the Season Finale, so...yeah.
