"Seokjin oppa!", Jeongyeon got up, crying from where she was under namjoon, pushing him onto the couch quite harshly. She ran towards seokjin and quickly hugged him, sobbing intensely. She clung onto his neck for dear life. Bawling her eyes out.
Namjoon groaned and tried processing what was happening but him being drugged didn't help at all.
"Jin-", "I don't wanna hear it", seokjin said calmly, cutting namjoon off and pushing Jeongyeon off of him.
Jeongyeon stared with fake amusement as more tears rolled down her cheeks. She tried hard not to smirk at the situation in front of her. Everything was going just the way she had planned.
"Oppa, h- he tried t-to- ", "I said cut it!", seokjin shouted, surprising her and namjoon who still wasn't able to get up from his place. His head was spinning and he couldn't do anything about it.
"B-but he tried to abuse me! I didn't know namjoon oppa was such a sl-", Jeongyeon screeched when she was suddenly slapped on her right cheek. Her face turned to the side as real tears flowed down her cheeks. She held her cheek which was already starting to get bruised. Her eyes rimmed red with anger as she looked at jin, hand coming up to hold her stinging cheek.
"Shut up! I don't wanna hear a word about him! Now, get your things and get out of here before I have to throw you out myself", seokjin ordered with vigour.
Jeongyeon just stared at him as if he was mad or something. "Huh? Me? I should get out?", she scoffed, "Not my fault your boyfriend's an abuser!"
That was it. Seokjin had had enough so he lunged forward and slapped her again. "Enough! He's anything but characterless! Now get out of my house!", he hollered, loud enough for Jeongyeon and namjoon to flinch. Seokjin was thankful that jiyoo was upstairs and was a pretty heavy sleeper, just like her father.
Jeongyeon mumbled something under her breath and wiped her tears with the back of her hand. She quickly got out of the library and stormed into her room. She packed all her stuff and frantically got out of the house. She was atleast happy about the fact that she had managed to strike some more fire between namjoon and seokjin.
____________________________________"I'm sorry, hyung", namjoon whispered sadly. "It's okay, you didn't do anything, anyway", seokjin just shrugged.
They were both lying on the bed, cuddled up with each other. Seokjin was softly stroking Namjoon's locks and the younger rested his head on his broad chest.
"No. Not about that. I... ", namjoon muttered and seokjin raised an eyebrow, looking perplexed. Namjoon couldn't help but feel guilty for all he had done. Seokjin didn't deserve any of the shit he had to go through but he still stayed. And Namjoon was grateful for that. He knew he didn't deserve the elder.
"I- For.. For getting mad at you over phone that day and not apologizing even after nearly two weeks. I promise you I didn't mean it", namjoon whimpered and nuzzled more into seokjin's chest. Not caring about anything else at the moment.
"Joonie, I know you didn't mean it. And I forgive you. And I'd say I'm sorry too but I can't because I know there's nothing for me to be sorry about", he said honestly and namjoon was thankful for that. He believed that he sometimes needed to realize that he cannot get coaxed everytime and be told that he did nothing wrong. Because this was far better, seokjin being honest with him. The man didn't hold a grudge against namjoon and that was more than enough.
"Baby, can you tell me why you did that? It's okay if you don't want to", seokjin asked quietly, trying not to startle his boyfriend. Namjoon nodded before sniffling a bit. Seokjin ran his hand up and down Namjoon's back and the younger composed himself fairly quick.
"Sh-she called", namjoon said and everything suddenly got quiter. And didn't take much time to guess a name. "Dahee?", jin asked carefully. And the namjoon curled himself up even more, jin knew he was right.
"Don't worry. She's now in the past. It's not like she would want anything to do with you and jiyoo after all these years", he assured, though he wasn't sure himself. He hoped it wasn't too serious. Carding his fingers through Namjoon's soft locks, he kissed his forehead and securely wrapped an arm around his shoulder, getting them to be even closer.
Namjoon sniffled and Jin knew that something was very, very wrong. Cradling him on his lap as namjoon rested his head on Jin's chest again, nuzzling far too close, jin tried coaxing him into sleeping. But namjoon just kept on sobbing. "S-she s-said that she w-w-wants h-her d-daughter b-back and b-because she hadn't given m-me the full c-custody of j-jiyoo, she can still go to the c-court and file for jiyoo's complete custody", namjoon sobbed loudly and jin just held him close, not knowing what else to do. "Hyung.. she said that it w-would be easier f-for her because she's jiyoo's birth mother and she can always s-say that s-she was y-young and not f-financially sta-stable", he cried harder. Seokjin's heart broke it that. He loved jiyoo like his own daughter. He couldn't even think about a life without her. But he knew that namjoon was having it worst. He rubbed his hand up and down the younger's back to soothe his tense muscles.
Seokjin held Namjoon's face in his hands and looked directly into the younger's eyes. Namjoon's eyes were red and tear streaks were prominent on his cheeks. "She can't do that. Not when we're together. And you've had her since she was born so of course you have a forward foot if she decides to file a case. And whatever happens, namjoon, know that if we're together, no one can break us apart", with that, he kissed him softly.
Namjoon hesitated at first but leaned into the kiss nonetheless.
That night, they cuddled close to each other with jiyoo tucked peacefully in between.
