"Are they coming?", taehyung asked as he got busy with fixing namjoon's tie. Namjoon sighed, checking himself out on the full body mirror before shaking his head, defeated.
"Joon, it's alright. Don't worry. I'm sure they are just busy or something. You know they love you, right?", taehyung asked, eyes hopeful, brows
creased. When namjoon didn't respond, taehyung sighed. "Right?", he asked again. "Right", namjoon mumbled, unsure and uncertain.
"Please don't be sad, Joonbug. I know you wanted them to be there on your big day but we can't force them. Besides, my mom and dad will be there, they'll be more than happy to walk you down the aisle", taehyung smiled brightly.
A small smile made its way to Namjoon's lips and he nodded, feeling a lot better than before. His parents were still angry with him and that's why they had decided not to attend his wedding but he had known taehyung's parents since childhood and if they were going to walk him to the altar, he was relieved.
"Namjoon, be out in thirty", seokjin's mom shouted from outside the door.
"Okay!", namjoon shouted back, taking deep breaths."Nervous?", taehyung asked, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "I mean, yeah. Forever is a long time. But as long as I'm with him, I know I'll be fine. We belong together", namjoon said, smiling cheekily.
"Cheesy", taehyung commented and namjoon shoved him with an offended 'Hey!' Taehyung just giggled in response. "Everyone feels nervous for their wedding. I remember how nervous you were", namjoon laughed remembering taehyung's wedding day.
Taehyung's whole face heated up. "Shut up. I wasn't that nervous", he denied, eyes comically wide. Namjoon couldn't help rolling his eyes. "Oh, suck it up, dude. You literally cried in the dressing room", he said.
"Okay, okay, I'll pretend I didn't here that. Now let's get out of here", taehyung said, shoving namjoon out of the room and ignoring Namjoon's boisterous laugh.
____________________________________"Jin hyung, are you nervous?", jungkook asked as Mark fixed seokjin's hair, styling it so that his forehead was partly showing. He was planning on killing namjoon tonight, it seemed.
"I'm nervous about being in front of so many people, kook. I'm not a bit nervous about marrying the man I love the most. There's no one I'd want to marry other than him", seokjin provided, not opening his mouth much so that Mark could do his work properly.
Mark smiled, giving jungkook a knowing look. Jungkook laughed and nodded. "Kook's wedding was a disaster. Well, not really but it could have been. You know tae cried in the dressing room and no one could console him. We had to call kook from the other side of the hotel even though it was a Jeon family tradition to not let the grooms see each other a day before marriage", Mark explained.
Seokjin laughed, looking endeared. He looked at jungkook then chuckled. "You love him so much, jungkook. I can see it in your eyes", he said, smiling. Jungkook smiled and sat down on the stool next to the groom.
"I do", jungkook smiled. "He was crying so hard, hyung. I don't know whether he was just overwhelmed or all his bottled up fears terrorized his mind that day but he's my priority so I had to go see him. Mom wasn't very happy though", Jungkook huffed out a small laugh, eyes crinkling up in delight.
"I'm so happy for you both", Seokjin said, looking at jungkook and then at Mark with fond eyes, a smile playing on his blushed up lips.
"And we're very happy for you", Mark smiled back and jungkook nodded in affirmation. He took one of seokjin's hands and kissed the back of it, then held it in both of his. "Namjoon hyung is like the older brother I never had. He has helped me and my family more times than I can remember. And while I know you love him and always will, I can't help but feel like it's my responsibility to make sure he's happy. Please take care of my hyung", Jungkook teared up, chuckling a bit. The sound oddly watery.
Jin smiled widely and pulled Jungkook into a huge hug. "You're so cute, kook-ah. Don't worry, I'll always take care of your hyung. That's why I'm marrying that clumsy dork", he assured, patting Jungkook's back softly.
"I hate to break your little moment but your mom said you need to be out in thirty. We can't be late", Mark said, snapping them out of their emotional trance. Jin pulled back and wiped Jungkook's now tear stained face with a napkin.
"Yeah, let's do this", he huffed out, taking a deep breath. He was so ready to do this.
_____________________________________"It is my absolute honor to introduce
one of the happiest couples I know, Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin", Jackson, who was officiating, announced with a wide smile on his handsome face.Slow instrumental music from seokjin's favorite drama had been decided to be played in the background once namjoon arrived. It was silly but neither namjoon, nor their friends minded.
Seokjin had insisted that they start the music only after namjoon started walking down the aisle as said man took his place on the altar, alongside hoseok who was his best man.
Hoseok was looking as good as ever in his pink tuxedo and a cute squirrel tiara that despite yoongi's multiple protests, he had been stubborn to wear.
Seokjin was wearing a fullsleeved white shirt underneath a black tuxedo. It was a simple look, just what seokjin liked. But he shone brighter than ever. His dense, perfectly styled black hair gave him the look of a prince who was finally going to marry his better half.
Everyone waited with held breaths for the other groom's arrival. Just then, the music started playing, grabbing everyone's attention. Hoseok nudged seokjin on the shoulder, smiling sweetly at him.
Seokjin's breath hitched as he watched namjoon walking down the aisle, arm in arm with both of tae's parents. Namjoon was also in a black suit, similar to seokjin's own. His fiancè's blonde hair was matted back, showing off his forehead and those dark brows that seokjin had come to love.
His eyes locked with Namjoon's and when namjoon smiled sweetly, he lost it. The dam of tears started flowing from his beautiful orbs. Watching namjoon talk and laugh with taehyung's parents while walking down the aisle made him an emotional wreck.
Once they were stood on the altar, tae's dad gave namjoon's hand to seokjin. "Take care of him", tae's mom said, kissing his forehead and then namjoon's. They were back into their alloted seats in a flash.
Namjoon smiled cheekily and stood opposite to seokjin, both hands holding seokjin's. "Don't cry", namjoon whispered with a grin, dimples appearing deep into the base of his cheeks.
Seokjin gave a watery chuckle, mouthing an 'I love you' back.
This was it. This was when he was going to commit his forever to the man he loved as much as he loved his children, if not more.
And he was more ready than ever.
