Jimin had taken up the responsibility of doing all the wedding preparations upon himself. It was stressful indeed but he had always wanted to plan a wedding and this was a chance he couldn't miss. Seokjin and namjoon were two of his bestest friends and he wanted their wedding to be the best.
The wedding was being held in Chicago since same sex marriage was not yet legal in South Korea and the soon to be married couple felt a little sad about not being able to celebrate their biggest day in their own homeland but nonetheless, namjoon and seokjin were excited and looking forward to the day.
Preparations were in full bloom and he would be sat every day on the living room table discussing new ideas that sounded undoubtedly eccentric to the commoner's ears.
"How about we make some woody decorations with mason jars on the table for counterpieces? Since it's a night wedding, we could light them up with Namjoon's favourite scented candles", jimin suggested, enthusiastic.
Hoseok smiled. Being a medicine major, he didn't understand how Jimin could come up with such ideas. But again, his boyfriend was a super talented boy so he wouldn't say he was all that surprised.
"I want the wedding to be as nature-friendly as possible since namjoon has this huge love for nature. And the theme colours should be pink and purple since pink is jin hyung's colour and taehyung specifically requested to add purple to the theme", jimin explained and the two men in front of him nodded, jotting down on a notepad.
"Okay, so I think that's it for today?", one of the two men asked. Jimin nodded, smiling while shaking each of their hands. "Yes, that would be all, Kyle, Gaurav", hoseok said, shaking their hands as well.
Kyle took his exit first and went out of the house while Gaurav stayed behind. Hoseok gave him a friendly side hug and smiled widely. "You haven't changed, huh?", he teased. Gaurav laughed fondly. "Well, you haven't too", he said.
"We're gonna be late!", Kyle called from outside and gaurav gave hoseok an apologetic smile. "Call me sometimes, yeah? I gotta go now", he said, hugging hoseok and then smiling at jimin who smiled back.
"How do you know him?", jimin asked, curious. "He was my high school prom date. I'll tell you about it later", hoseok said, pulling jimin to his side and planting a sweet kiss to his temple.
Jimin smiled and leaned up to peck his lips. "Without me? I'm hurt", yoongi came from behind, feigning sadness. Hoseok rolled his eyes playfully and kissed yoongi as well. Jimin did the same but the kiss lasted a little longer.
"Okay, okay. We don't have time for this now. Get back to work, jiminie", hoseok said, making his two boyfriends pout but comply. "The flowers should be here", jimin said and ran out of the house when he heard the sound of a truck unloading outside.
"What the-", Jimin gasped in horror as he watched the men unloading bunches of pink and white flowers. He stood there, trying to stay calm. He was sure he ordered pink and purple flowers for the event.
As soon as the men finished their work and came to bid a goodbye to Jimin, jimin went off. "What the fuck is this supposed to mean!? I clearly ordered purple flowers! Purple!", he exclaimed. His right hand rose to hit the man but Hoseok was behind him in a second.
He held Jimin's small fist in his comparatively large hand and shushed him. "Jiminie", he tried. "No, hyung. Let me be mad. I clearly ordered purple flowers and these motherfuckers couldn't even do that properly!", He yelled, being harsher than he intended to.
"Baby, calm down. It's alright. It happens", Hoseok said softly. Jimin scoffed. "Shh. None of that. It's not their fault now, is it?", hoseok asked. Jimin reluctantly shook his head and sighed. Hoseok smiled, questioning, "Yeah, so why don't you use those white flowers as well? We can get purples too, if you want".
Jimin nodded curtly. "Yeah, I can do that", he said, then turned around to face the man he was about to hit. "Sorry for that, bro. I was just mad", he apologized. The man only smiled, albeit a little scared, but it was a genuine smile nonetheless.
Once the workers were gone, hoseok turned Jimin around and gave him a slight peck on the lips before kissing his forehead briefly. "I know you can make it work, darling. I know you do", he said. Jimin smiled, "I will", he promised.
____________________________________"Fucking finally. I was starting to get worried", Jimin said when he saw the people running in with the silky table runners. He had to change half of the theme in the last moment because of the dilemma with the colour of the flowers but he was relieved everything was settled.
Hoseok and yoongi were handling the table arrangements and jimin had somehow managed to get Jackson's lazy ass to set the cards with the guests' names on their respective tables.
Seokjin's parents were helping out with checking up on the catering while tzuyu checked up on the lightings and other minor details of the event.
It was decided that the guests would all have their rooms booked in a hotel near the venue and Jackson's husband had volunteered to make sure that the guests were comfortable and happy with their respective rooms.
Tzuyu's girlfriend, who happened to be hoseok's sister, had taken upon herself to make sure that the guests had transport facilities to reach the venue and then be back at their hotel rooms without further complications.
Everything was going as planned and jimin couldn't be more happier. "Jiminie!", Taehyung called and jimin turned around to look at his soulmate. "Yes, tae?", he acknowledged. Taehyung smiled, resting his hands on Jimin's shoulder, "Aren't you gonna get ready?", he asked.
Jimin looked at taehyung. Actually looked. "You look good", Jimin smiled. Taehyung was wearing a three piece black suit. His cuff links were in the shape of little silver crescents and he had a distinct chain hanging from his red tie. He looked really good, young.
"I know", Taehyung smiled smugly, pushing his hair back playfully. Jimin laughed, eyes closing as his head tipped back. Taehyung grinned cheekily. "Okay, okay, enough. Now go get ready. You're the most important person in today's event", he told jimin, shooing him inside his hotel room.
Jimin groaned but went inside without much protest. He was seokjin's best man and had a baby pink suit for the occasion. Honestly, as much as he pretended to hate it, he actually quite liked it.
He looked at himself in the mirror, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Nothing too much, just a curl of his lips. But it portrayed his happiness. He was beaming, the content was coursing through his veins.
Seokjin was going to be married. After all this years of distress, his hyung was finally marrying the person he loved so much. And who loved him just as much, or maybe even more.
In the corner of his heart, he knew why he was feeling so giddy. Somewhere inside his chest, he wanted to have something just like this.
With yoongi, with hoseok.
