46. Speeches and Tears

"Hey, everyone!", Jungkook cheered, smiling widely. Everyone present in the hall clapped as he started his speech. "Since my husband was Namjoon hyung's best man, it's only fair that I give out the best man speech since you know I'm the best", Jungkook winked and everyone roared with laughter.

"I'm pretty sure that Joon asked tae to be his best man 'cause he was tae's best man and he feels some weird obligation to him 'cause we all know Joon loves me the most", Jungkook joked, earning a playful hit from tae as everyone else giggles.

"Okay, so first of all I'd like to toast the most dense person on this earth with four of the most beautiful words: I told you so", Jungkook beamed as namjoon groaned.

"When Namjoon hyung first met Seokjin hyung, he was really worried about how things will go but I told him that he was gonna be just fine but of course, being the dense person that he is, he didn't listen", Jungkook said, smiling mischievously.

"Kim Namjoon", Jungkook started, suddenly serious. "You're my best friend and I truly admire you. It's amazing how you managed to take care of a child at such a young age and became a the most successful CEO in the country. But that's not why I love you so much. I love you because you're the hyung I never had. You've had my back through the toughest of times and you've made me the confident man I am today. I..", Jungkook's voice strained a little and taehyung reached his hand to intertwine with his husband's.

Namjoon knew jungkook was going to cry and if that happened, he was sure he would cry too.

"He's the reason I'm happily married with my husband over here and have a beautiful kid to call my own. Before seokjin hyung came into Joonie hyung's life, the media painted him to be a rich arrogant bastard but if I know him at all, that's just for from the truth. This man right here", Jungkook looked at namjoon who was trying to hold back his tears. "Is the most selfless person on earth. He does his absolute best to make sure everyone else around him happy and secure. He has gone through endless sleepless nights just so he could teach me to make sure I pass my degree. He's the most wonderful person ever", Jungkook said, tears dripping down his face as his hands started shaking around the mic.

Taehyung was crying too though he was still trying to comfort his husband as best as he could. Jae was just looking at the whole scene with confusion as he didn't understand why everyone was crying just because jungkook called namjoon the most wonderful person. Well, maybe they were just jealous.

"Namjoon hyung, I love you so much", Jungkook said and that was it for namjoon. He started sobbing, hiding his face in seokjin's shoulder as his husband smiled sweetly at him.

"Congratulations, man. We are so thankful to have you in our lives and I'm so glad that you married one of the kindest man. Seokjin hyung, take care of him. Love you both", Jungkook finished as loud applause resonated through the hall with a few sniffles heard.

As jungkook sat down in his seat, tissues in his hand, he passed the mic to Seokjin's mother who was going to say her speech next.

"Ahem", she cleared her throat and seokjin smiled as he wiped Namjoon's face with the tissues. "Seokjin-ah, I can't believe you've grown up so much", she started. "When you were about this much", she gestured with two of her fingers, though the size was much smaller than seokjin had been.

"You used to tell me how you'd marry a princess and have your own palace. And see, you're married and have your own palace. And Namjoon is no less than a prince", she said and seokjin was trying hard to keep a straight face. He knew his mom was going to cry and that was one of the few things he couldn't handle.

"I know I was a bit apprehensive to your relationship with Namjoon but your little girl made me realize that if there was anyone who could love you more than dad and I, then it's namjoon", she smiled, eyes glossy.

"I can't say through words how proud we are of you. You worked so hard to study medicine, even went to Seoul alone so that you could pursue your dream and now you're one of the most renowned doctors out there. You're the most loving person ever and I'm so glad I gave birth to such a kind soul. Seokjin-ah, I can't believe all this is true, can't believe you're not the seokjin who used to play in my lap anymore. You're the seokjin who's confident, fearless and is with the person he loves the most. We're so proud of you, baby. We love you so much. Congrats on your marriage. We wish you live a long life with your new family and make happy memories", Seokjin's mom finished, sniffling as he sat beside her husband who rubbed her back, smiling fondly.

"Don't cry", Namjoon whispered as he side hugged Seokjin, not wanting him husband to cry anymore. "You're such a cry baby", namjoon joked. Seokjin growled, "Shut up, as if you weren't just bawling your eyes out just now. Now pass me the tissues before I divorce you". "Okay, okay", Namjoon laughed and wiped seokjin's face himself.

"Thanks for attending everyone. Now we can all have dinner and then there will be the first dance. After that, there'll be some treats and then we can all go home and leave the newlyweds to celebrate their first night together", the host said, making said newlyweds blush as their friends teased them.

It was all going wonderful. Namjoon and Seokjin couldn't wait for the dance and to spend their first night together.

The night was young and so were their hearts.
