"Happy three months babygirl! These are for you!" Caleb wrapped his arms around my waist with a bouquet of flowers in his hand that were resting against my stomach. We haven't spoke since last night whenever he left me at the diner and honestly I was still upset but I decided to push that to the side for now.
"You too." I smiled leaning back into his touch ignoring every fiber of my being that wanted to smack him, to give him a piece of my mind.
"I've got to run coach wants us out in the facility. Catch up with you at lunch?" I nodded and put the flowers into my locker before shutting it and walking to class.
"Hey you! I brought you this." Reagan beamed cheerfully as she handed me a Starbucks coffee and I instantly felt my spirits lift. Me and caffeine go hand in hand without it I'm a monster but with it? Well I'm a whole lot happier that is for sure.
"Not all hero's wear capes! Thank you thank you thank you!" I gushed taking a big sip letting the coffee bean goodness coat my taste buds.
"Have you talked to Caleb?" She asked following me to our first period class which we have together.
"Yeah he just came and gave me flowers." I nodded taking another drink of my iced coffee.
"I'm still mad at him." She huffed. When I called her last night and filled her in on what happened at the team dinner she was mad, I'm talking pissed and that is out of the normal for her considering she's been shipping Caleb and I since day one.
"That makes two of us but in a way I see where he is coming from even though he has absolutely nothing to worry about when it comes to Sergio Gonzalez."
"I still can't believe he offered to take you home. I missed a very eventful night." She huffed pouting making me roll my eyes. Of course she would think that events from last night were interesting when all I wanted to do was forget them.
"I'm just glad today is Friday. I need a weekend to recover I am freaking exhausted."
"Movie night tomorrow night? I'll bring the junk food." She pouted her bottom lip out begging, as if I would say no to that. Lounging around watching movies eating junk food all day is our favorite thing to do.
"As long as it's not a scary movie I'm down!" I am a huge baby when it comes to scary movies especially ones that are based on true events. I will watch raunchy comedies or even mushy chick flicks all day long but scary movies? Count me out.
"It's a date!" We walked into our class and took our seat her sitting right behind me so she can whisper in my ear all period long making me giggle when she makes a farting noise every time Mrs. Ortiz bends over.
"Would you stop?" I could barely breathe and I had tears streaming down my face. I felt my phone vibrate alerting me I had a text message. Mrs. Ortiz bent over and Reagan let a loud wet noise slip from her lips and this time I laughed so hard I snorted but thankfully the whole class erupted into laughter and not just me.
Hey babygirl meet me in the janitors closet on the two hundred hall during the passing period between second and third period. I've got a big surprise for you. ;)
-Caleb
I couldn't help but smile at Caleb's text message. What in the world could he be surprising me with in a janitors closet?
"Oooo from lover boy?" Reagan sang clapping her hands together while we walked to our next class which is right across the hall from one another.
"Lover boy? Gross." I shuddered I've never been a huge fan of pet names. Hell I threw a fit the first time Caleb called me babygirl but after a few times I gave up and the name stuck much to my disliking.
