"If I eat anything I am going to explode." I exhale leaning backwards in the booth extremely grateful that I wore comfortable clothes or else I would be suffering big time.
"Then put the chips down woman!" Felipe laughed throwing another chip my way.
"Who turns down chips and salsa?" I ask with an exasperated expression gesturing towards the empty basket of chips.
"They are bottomless...meaning they will keep bringing them out the more you keep eating them.." Alejandro laughed before shoving another bite of his enchilada into his mouth.
"You ate more than all of us.." Christopher examined his plate before looking at everyone elses with disbelief in his eyes.
"Hey I am a growing girl!" I pout before rubbing my overly full stomach feeling guilty for pushing myself past my limits.
"My brother here too hard to keep up with?" Alejandro smacked me on the back but not hard enough to hurt. The more time I spend around Sergio's family the more and more they are starting to feel like family to me.
"Gross! I already seen enough of you two all over each other in the garage the last thing I need is to hear this shit!" Felipe pointed his finger into his mouth making a gagging noise.
"Okay okay you guys leave my girl alone." Sergio leaned back into the booth pulling me against his body, the food coma I was in was starting to take over and all I needed was a damn nap.
"Ready to go to the hotel?" He mumbled, all I could do was nod. His parents paid the bill and we all piled back into the cars and drove across the street to the hotel.
"Hector, Felipe, Alejandro, and Christopher will be in one room. Gabriel and I will be in one, and Sergio and Alex will have their own room."
"What?" I can't hide the shock in my voice. They are letting us have our own room? They trust us that much? I don't know if I should be excited or worried....
"You two are grown, besides I'm afraid that if we shove you all into one room we will get kicked out." Rosa winked at me which only confused me even more. She handed Felipe and Sergio room keys.
"We are going to take nana to chemotherapy, you guys go relax and enjoy the day doing whatever it is that you kiddos are doing these days." And just like that they are off leaving us all alone.
Sergio, all of his brothers, and I piled into the elevator and one of them pressed a button for the thirteenth floor. The guys room was right next to ours. The hallway had dark brown carpet with chandelier light fixtures hanging every twenty feet or so. There was dark modern art pieces hanging on the walls.
"We are going to watch a movie and probably crash for a few hours. We will catch with you guys later." His brothers all nodded before unlocking the door to their room. Sergio unlocked the door to our room, I was still shocked that his parents got us our own room. I don't think my parents would ever be bold enough to put just the two of us in one room but then again knowing my parents they probably would.
As soon as we walked inside I gasped the hotel room was easily twice as nice as the lobby and the hallways. The room was painted a tan coffee color with the same brown carpet as the hallway. There was one king size bed with a flat screen in front of it on a real wooden entertainment center. The best part though was the view out of our window. Looking out all you could see was mountains in the distance with the city below. I sat my bag down and kicked off my shoes before throwing myself down on the bed pulling the covers up to my neck. Sergio pulled the black out curtains closed and took off his own shoes before crawling into bed with me snuggling closer until we molded together.
The feel of being in his arms, feeling his tense muscles against my body made me feel warm, safe, it made me feel at home. Like I was made to be in his arms and nowhere else. I couldn't hide the sigh that escaped my body as I felt myself completely relax in his arms.
"I am so glad you came baby." He mumbled into my hair holding me like he was afraid to let me go.
"Me too." I smiled against his chest sleepily before sleep took over every fiber of my body.
