Samia's POV

"Why did you leave in the first place?" The curious, blue eyed witch asked.

"I kinda needed to be on my own, I needed to know what that felt like again." I gulp, leaning back in the uncomfortable wooden chair.

She takes notice of me squirming in the seat.

"I know the chair is like so uncomfortable." She smiles.

"I know, why the hell would Marcel pick this out for you?" I say.
She laughs, shaking her head then smiling at me.

There was a hint of admiration in her eyes, I remember the days I used to look at him like that.

"What's wrong?" She asks, she must've took notice of my sudden change of expression.

"Oh, it's nothing. I- infact, I think I'm gonna go." I stand up, refusing to look in her eyes. I feel utterly weak and ashamed every time I let my emotions show.

"Oh uh okay." She sits up too, I finally look at her, she looked disappointed to see me leave.

"But I'll make sure to get you a new chair, one that doesn't make your back ache." I let a small smile slip, before concealing it with my usual careless expression.

She smiles, looks down, then looks back up at me.

"You'll Um- you'll come visit again?" She bites her lip, trying to disguise her smile.

"Of course." I nod. I send one more tight lipped smile before turning and leaving the room, I shut the door behind me then sigh.

There was something, something in there that reminded me of someone I still hold dearly to my heart. The admiration and love i used to see in that person's eyes every day, it always left me with a giddy feeling.

My baby, Nova.

Elijah and Hayley are inside a burial vault, lit by numerous candles on the walls around them. It was reaveled to him by Sophie that she was carrying Klaus' baby.

"So, have they been holding you here against your will?" He asks her.

"They lured me out to the bayou and grabbed me. And they did all these... weird witchy tests. Not that I understand how this could happen. I mean, vampires are dead. They can't have children!"

"Perhaps if you knew my brother's story, it might explain how this is possible. Here, if I may." Elijah tries to lay his hand on Hayley's temple, but she recoils.

"What are you doing?"

"Relax. If you open your mind to me, I can show you." She eventually gives in and Elijah shows her their family's story through flashbacks and he spoke, explaining what happened in each flash.

When he pulls away, Hayley looks dazed and in thought. "Who was that girl?" She refers to the one person he didn't speak about, the curly-haired young girl.

Elijah's licked his lips, looking away before sighing. "An innocent and sweet girl who..." It was evidently painful for him to say the words, Hayley could see that.

He clears his throat, looking away before saying, "It's not relevant to what's happening now." Hayley nods, understanding it wasnt her place, but she couldn't help but wonder.

-

Elijah talks to Rebekah on the phone in the middle of an empty roadway. "He's willing to give up everything." He states.

"Come on, Elijah, does that really surprise you?" Rebekah almost scoffs.

"I already see it. He's spiralling. He's lashing out in blind rage. You know, the last time I saw him like this ... was when Samia left." He sighs at the horrific memory before putting it at the back of his mind, that day was filled with betrayals and millions of regrets.

"Then leave him to his temper tantrum and come home. With any luck this misadventure will allow us a reprieve from all of his insanity." Rebekah really had little to no faith.

"He was so close. When he heard the baby's heartbeat, I could see it in his eyes. He... he wanted... he could almost taste happiness. And now his temper has destroyed it. Even if I was to return him to sanity, he just lost Marcel's trust. So, I'm almost out of time to get the girl."

"Get her? Have you lost her mind? Are we running an orphanage now?"

"Say what you will about Niklaus, but on my life I'm not letting anything happen to that baby." He quickly ends the call, looking down at his feet. His ears picked up on light footsteps, he turned around thinking one of Marcel's nightwalkers might had followed him.

The phone he held in his hand had dropped to the floor and smashed, but he didn't care.

"Samia." He gulped.

"Hello, brother." She smirked.

A/n
I'm honestly really excited for this book :)

Samia's just turning up and surprising everyone lol, crazy how the first person she reunited with was Elijah.

That Sibling bond... will it still be the same though?

Just so you know, our Mia is sort of addictive to knives so I'll be writing about them a lot in future fight chapters
