Flashback
11 year old Samia held onto her purse tightly, she was alone for the first time
Not completely alone.
Her mother was on another boat, it was heart wrenching to see all her people being shipped to another country without a choice.
When she was a young child she used to hide behind her mother, using her as a shield between her and the stranger. When she was forced leave her mother at the gate, she held back, but her mother made her promise to obey whatever rules she was given.
And right right now? She had to be brave.
She yearned for the chance of turning the whole boat around and returning home.
But she promised her mother not to create a nuisance and time was going painfully slow. Everything about this experience was nerve-racking and it made her more anxious than ever. She was stood, chains around her wrists, in line along with hundreds of others and judging by how unhygienic the boat was she would be lucky to even make it out alive.
She pouts, her heart beating ferociously and her hands shook like leaves in a storm.
One of the men working for [I forgot his name but Samia'a biological dad] set his eyes on her, she was a very beautiful little girl and buyers kept their eyes on those. Her hair was perfectly curly, her skin was golden brown and her eyes were a pperfect mix of green and brown, her pouted lips were pink and her eyebrows were perfectly shaped.
The ones with the prettiest faces were the most wanted, and although its wrong, sadly it's true.

It took months but they made it to the [I think hes a regent I dont know)'s home and Samia was forced to do work she didnt think an 11 year old would be able to.
She was extremely exhausted but she kept her head down and did as the men suggested, like her mother asked.
The mother she was reunited with, that was enough to put a smile on little Samia's face and her mum sobbed once she laid eyes on her daughter.
One small moment of happiness.

Francis couldn't keep his eyes of her.
He was a typical boy, skinny, curly haired and as some would say 'nerdy'.
He was handsome, freckles covered the entirety of his nose and seemed to fade way as it got closer to his cheeks. He could sense her nerves from his bedroom window. He knew he was allowed to, but he went against his 'father's' wishes and followed her into where they keep the horses, there was no one else in here.
"Water?" He offers, Samia turns her head a smile gracing her face as she sees the formality of his outfit.
A boy in a suit.
"No, thank you." Her accent was thick, she'd learnt to grow out of it as the ages went by, though. It was sometimes noticeable, but barely.
Francis thought it was beautiful nonetheless and it wasn't particularly hard to understand her, well not for him."Are you from Barbados?"
"Yes." She smiles, her smile made him blush.
"My mum says the country is beautiful. I guess the people are too."
He was thirteen yet he spoke like a twenty-five year old, his words alone made Samia blush a ferocious red.
She giggles, "You're so cute."
"Oh please, anything but cute." He laughs with her.
[I'm just going to call samias father Steve]
"Francis! Where are you-." Steve boiled in anger at what he saw.
Samia was incredible scared, her hands shook and she was attempting to take several breaths in, in fear of having another panic attack.
Francis noticed her shaky hands, he laid his slightly bigger one on top of hers. "You'll be fine." He looks into her eyes, reassuring her.
"Don't touch her!" Steve pushes Samia to the grown, his impact making her hit her head on one of the metal bars. Blood oozed out of her forehead, her eyes watered too but she wasn't unconscious.
Before Francis could do anything, Samia shook her head at him and he allowed himself to he dragged out, not wanting her to be more hurt than she already is.
