Nova is now seven months old meaning she can eat mashed food or finger foods, she has also been calling me mama, it was her first word.
Francis wasn't so keen about that, he mocked being angry for a whole week but I knew he was as happy to see her develop all these new skills. Babies are extremely smart but I like to think my baby is the smartest of the smartest.
She knows when I say the word 'milk' it's time to breast feed and she giggles and smiles, eating is her favourite thing, it's what she gets excited for most.
That and seeing her Uncle Nik.
She loves Klaus, for some reason he makes her crack up to the point I'm wiping vomit from her chin, it was funny the first time she did it ALL over Klaus.
He swore to never hold her again but he can't help himself, he loves her too much. We all love her too much, these months with Nova have been the best months of my life, I wouldn't dare change anything in my life, I can deal with the sleepless nights if it's her I'm spending time with in the morning.
Mornings Francis isnt there... I cant complain, really. He's the best husband, ever! But it'd be nice if he let me know his schedule for work so i didn't have to build my hopes up of waking up to his kisses.
I try to be grateful, but I'm needy and we havent had... well you know since Nova was born. The reason being that i wasn't comfortable with my body for the longest time, i felt my thighs were too big and my butt had grown far too large and my breasts made it hard to fit into any old clothes.
But that's not me anymore.
And half of that is Francis' doing. He made sure a day he hadn't told me how 'insanely gorgeous' I was hadn't gone by.
I really do love him so much.
"Mamammama." My little one mumbles, drool dripping from her mouth and a wide grin on her beautiful face.
"Yes, mamas?" I pick her up, wiping the little drool off with tissue and set her on my lap, facing away from me. Her little hand reaches up to my fave and she turns her head so I could place a kiss on her cheek, it was like a strange routine that she somehow got used to.
See. Smartest of the smartest.
