It was Samia's 20th Birthday. of course Klaus wanted to throw a huge, magnificent party. Samia would rather have sat at home and read a book, but Klaus being Klaus; wouldn't have allowed that." I don't understand the thrill." Samia states, sitting in the living room of the Mikaelson home.
"Meet new people, achieve more alliances; have more dinner." He smirks, Mia rolls her eyes; earning a smile from Klaus.
"Why would I play nice with the same people who spat on me as I picked cotton off the ground?" Her heart beat quickened in anger. Klaus sensed that.
"Fair point, Mia." He's the only one who's ever called her that.
"We'll invite only our friends, who do not think of people in that manner." Elijah chirps in.
"A new suit I see." Mia smiles, Elijah rolls his eyes. She always had a hobbie of teasing him. Klaus loved that about her.
"That reminds me, we must find you a dress." Rebekah smiles, hugging Mia from behind. Mia was sat on a chair and Rebekah standing.
"No." Mia groans dramatically, throwing her head back.
"A lady does not sit like that." Kol, the lunatic Klaus un-daggered, appears.
"And you know so much about being a lady." Mia fires back. The Mikaelsons, including Marcellus laugh. Kol had always liked Mia, she was fun. Something Elijah 'lacked'.
***
"Wow." Rebekah tears up staring at the girl she'd practically raised. From a teen to a woman.
"Wow?"
"You look magnificent." Klaus appears, he'd always seen she was a beauty. Everyone could. Women stared at her in envy and men in disgust. But Klaus has only ever looked at her in love and admiration; as did all the Mikaelsons.
"Come on, I'll introduce you to Lord Stanley." He takes her hand, walking her to a tall, well built man.
His hair slicked back, his teeth white and shiny, his eyes green and dreamy. He was a dream.
"Lord Stanley." He bows, introducing himself.
"Samia. Samia-" She freezes up, not sure of what to say.
"Mikaelson." Klaus finishes her sentence.
"Samia Mikaelson." She smiles.
