Jace and I walked slowly down the busy Brooklyn Street towards Simon's and Jason's house.
Once we got to the door Simon swung it up open, which was not a surprise that he most likely heard us with his heightened vampire senses.
"Hey, congratulations! If you're looking for Luke he's over there with Jason, " Simon said as he akwardly side hugged us both.
"Luke, we have news," Jace and I said in unison, taking a moment to smile at each other, "Clarissa and I are engaged"
There was a long pause then a single tear ran down Luke's face. "I'm so happy for you both, I knew this was coming but how soon I wasn't sure. I love both of you as my own children and now you both will be. To Jace and Clary!" Luke toasted, raising a Chinese takeout container.
Jason got up and hugged us both quite tightly and Simon got up and actually grabbed Jace and I in a vice like vampire hug.
I'm so excited for this new chapter in all our lives. Luke has mum. Simon has Isabelle. Most of all I have Jace.
