The Dark Lion

Ending it once and for all

This is the final chapter for the Dark Lion. Thanks for the support for this story, It's been a lot of fun writing it :). And I wanna give out a special thanks to CourageousPrincess18 for helping me write these two last chapters. Anyway I hope you enjoy.

Fuli charged full speed into
the Joker and smacked him
across the face, causing
him to fall into the chasm,
bringing the Joker's journey
to the end. When she
realized what she did, she
cried. "I didn't mean to kill
him." She sobbed.

Kion's ears perked as he slowly went
over. He looked at his body before at
Fuli. "It's ok." He nuzzled her softly.

"I didn't mean to." She
sobbed. "I don't think I am
ever going to forgive myself
for what I did."

Kion took his mask off and licked
away Fuli's tears.

Just then the Joker groaned as he
stood back up slowly and swept
Kion's legs. He then took the chance
and pounced onto Kion and they
rolled down a steep hill, both grunting
as they stopped at a nearby cliff.

"Say godbye to your girl
Dark Lion!" Joker growled.

Kion slowly stood up, tired on his
paws. "Just stop this, what is worth
this in the end? You'll just be alone
again Janja." Kion spoke.

Joker growled. "Stop calling me that!"

"What? Your real name? Listen I'm
sorry all this happened because of
me." His ears folded. "This is my
fault you became like this and I don't
blame you for what you have done. I
forgive you Janja."

"Wh-what?" Joker asked
in shock.

"You deserve better than this, a better
life." Kion's expression was soft.

"N-No! You can't!" He backed up
slowly, away from him.

"You can't hide who you truly
are forever."

He stopped back up and looked at
Kion. "You are wrong! I am like this,
I always have! You are just trying to
make me feel bad!" He refused.

Joker struck Kion, rejecting
his offer.

Kion grunted, trying to hold of the
attacks and was not far away from
falling out from the cliff. "I don't
wanna fight you."

"Well, I do!" Joker snapped.
He moved to Fuli and put
a claw against her neck.
"Fight me, or your girl
gets it!"

"Kion" Fuli whispered.
"Don't worry about me."

He sighed and closed his eyes a brief
second. "Alright, if that's what you
want." Kion got into his fight stance.

"Kion don't!" Full pleaded.

He took his gadgets off and put them
away, not caring anymore.

"What are you doing?"
Joker asked. "Fight me, or
the cheetah gets it!"

"Putting away my things, I don't
need them. It's just you and me."
He replied.

"Very well." Joker replied,shoving Fuli towards Kion as he took a fighting stance.

Fuli looked at Kion after bumping into him, fear dancing wildly in her emerald eyes like a blazing inferno.

Kion's amber coloured eyes met her eyes, they were calm for some
reason. "Don't worry, I'l be fine. Go
and help the others put out the fire."

"What if-?" Fuli asked,
not sure how to finish her
sentence.

He put a paw on her shoulder.
"It will be alright, go ahead. You
can trust me."
